Dubya sickeningly pretends to be all for democracy!
No, he isn't. He justifies his abuses with reference to the historic struggle against colonialism. He is the one who is being oppressed, so he must strike back. You're either with him or against him. And so on.

No doubt! Although he has been accused of eating his totem animal.

a comment about Naomi's book from the Wikipedia:

The release of The Beauty Myth coincided with Camille Paglia's release of Sexual Personae, which made a scholarly defense of beauty as a natural and enduring dimension of sexuality. Paglia engaged in a spirited critique of Wolf, which included these comments in her infamous MIT lecture:

"If you want to see what's wrong with Ivy League education, look at The Beauty Myth, that book by Naomi Wolf. This is a woman who graduated from Yale magna cum laude, is a Rhodes scholar, and cannot write a coherent paragraph. This is a woman who cannot do historical analysis, and she is a Rhodes scholar? If you want to see the damage done to intelligent women today in the Ivy League, look at that book. It's a scandal. Naomi Wolf is an intelligent woman. She has been ill-served by her education. But if you read Lacan, this is the result. Your brain turns to pudding! She has a case to make. She cannot make it. She's full of paranoid fantasies about the world. Her education was completely removed from reality."[8]

The author, Naomi Wolf, is an unhappy, fat, water-retaining Yenta, and her argument is as vapid as a teen-aged girl's discourse on her favorite boy band or belly shirt.

School's in session, G-Money Howard, so pay attention:

1 9/11 proves the enemy isn't imaginary; so do the headlines from Iraq showing the carnage and daily suicide bombing ...[text shortened]... erica citizens possess. God bless America, George Bush and Sturm, Ruger & Co.!
have to agree with you on most of the points Especially point 8:

8 Control the press: This is a joke since members of the press receive the Pulitzer Prize for disclosing state secrets and bashing America, or get feted by foreign papers such as The Guardian whenever they write an anti-American screed. Moreover, newspapers in every large American city are run by left wingers that have no respect for the Administration, nor normal, American values. If you went into the editorial department of the New York Times and asked, how many of the reporters had friends who are either conservative or a Christian, I doubt any hands would go up.

I live in Russia and lived in Japan. both places have "free" press which sucks up to thee powers that be. I would disagree with you about your view on the press..but having lived in Russia and Japan i would say

Freedom of the press is a privilege NOT a RIGHT.....

Most people here in Russia want food on the table, a decent job and good schools... Freedom of the press is a JOKE here.

A fine example of the sheer arrogance, stupidity and parochialism that makes the US hated around the world.
And this coming from a powerthinker like howeeee?

I feel bad. Well.... maybe not.

I will repeat to you howeeeeee ... if being hated by you means anything -- and it is very doubtful that it could -- then I am proud to say that I hate you too. Not because you are stupid, though you are. Not because you are arrogant, though you are. Not because you are clueless either.

I don't like you because you are the exact definition of a fool.

Well, it would certainly be better to require those living on taxpayer -funded 'benefits' to undertake work of some kind rather than loll around doing nothing constructive for the rest of their lives.
