One of my 8th grade students told me this. I told him he was wrong. I said we make the advanced items, and we let other countries do the simple manufacturing of consumer goods because we've moved on to the advanced stuff. I said we make computers...umm....weapons...
What else do we make in the USA?
Scientific devices like gas chromatographs maybe?
Corrugated paper is another item that we manufacture in large amounts.

Because you Americans insisted on buying cheap stuff from China because it was cheaper than American made goods. Your own companies could make and sell a product for $50 but a company from China would make a similar one for ...[text shortened]... fore you get all high and mighty, look in the mirror.
