So? Would you like a link to the number of casualties from WWII or perhaps the Civil War? There are a vast number of presidents you can take issue with purely on the basis of casualties.
Originally posted by no1marauderNo, no, to the contrary my friend. What I am attempting to establish is the purpose in this thread. Thus far, I have a link. Ok. So? It may be normative and natural for me to assume that this is about the death toll being unacceptable, but if there is a topic to actually be 'debated' here, let's cut the assuming and have it stated clearly.

Yes, they both deserve similar fates.
Being that you condemn Dubya for the war, how do you feel about our representatives? It was they who granted him the power to go ahead with this. What blame (if any) to you put on all of our other elected officials who assisted in this action?

Originally posted by STANGI think that's good and well STANG, but just how much accountability do you believe our senators have in this? After all, if Bush is a war monger, they gave him the tools to do so. Are they not as accountable (or more) for the war?

Originally posted by OmnislashI'd start with investigating if they have personal financial interests in things like Middle Eastern oil and military equipment manufacturers.

Accountability must ultimately rest with Bush, in much ths same way as it does with Saddam.
Originally posted by STANGWhy? Bush is only 1/3 of our government. He is a fairly impotent person if the other 2/3 refuse to back him. Why must accountability rest 'ultimately' with him? He is one man. His decisions were put into action because a vast number of our representatives gave him the power to do so. Why are they not equally as responsible? As a collective, they had as much to say about the war as Bush did.
