What lengths do you think people should go when using God in a murder trial? Very debatable!

Extract from Wanganui Chronicle,NZ..

Mr Reid who was the officer in charge of the murder inquiry in May 2005, told the High Court in Wanganui, of an untaped exchange with Goodman on *MAY 8, 2005*, as they smoked together during a break in police interviews.
"She was sobbing. I then said to her was there something she needed to talk about and she said to me she had done something bad or something bad had happened," he said.
Mr reid then told Goodman it would help if she talked about what was troubling her and sought forgiveness and asked if she had a faith in God.
Goodman told him she had a problem but would not say what it was and asked Mr Reid to pray with her.

Would you specifically state what your problem with this is?

Well, is it wrong to use God to try and gain information? Morally it seems wrong but is/should it be legally wrong?

Obviously one would assume the cop already knew she had a faith in God and was using that prior knowledge to try and entrap her. Isnt it wrong to use God?

What do you reckon? Could she get off on the grounds that they were using God to entrap her? Is there such a law? NEcase one my well find out that if the radio stations werent playing BS games for so long then whoever actually done may not have. Americans a-hunting evil... tripping off BS from Bush. Yeahaa lots of dead people.

Why would it be wrong to use god to extract information? If someone is stupid enough to have a backward facing belief system they are definately too stupid to get away with murder. It's just speeding things up a little. It's tax money he's saving

Don't you think that God might like the fact that he's helping fight crime down on earth in a practical every day sense?

Im wondering if that cop was under some type of belief that GOD had something to do with it in the first place?

Like Iraq.. terror wasnt such a big problem before America wongly steped foot through lies where it wasnt asked or welcomed. Ironic how Americans have gone from running around pointing their fingers at evil to spend their days trying to defend their murders. I guess a lot of things in life are proportional to the environments we live or controlled by.

If you are wondering just what the prayers Goodman prayer with the cop who was trying to do her for murder, there was none. The plot gets thicker...

"At that point in time, she actually collapsed on the ground in the fetal position.
"I then asked her if she killed the lady in Marton... she said 'no I didn't,no I didn't," Mr Reid said.
Goodman had quickly gained her composure and asked to be interviewed by another police officer and for everything she said to be taped, he said.
