supposing the smallest piece available of one person's opinion as equal to one impulse unit (a la Dirac impulse function).

say this unit is arbitrarily defined as 1/4th of a person at one instance in time, given that people can have mixed opinions on things.

(see Thread 128819, for example.)

is there any sociometric or econometric school of thought that operates on opinions as quanta like these?

What a tortured soul he is. :'(

I find it telling that a man like Reagan who came into office when the US was feeling bad about itself and in an economic world of hurt turns things around and is labeled one of the worst presidents of all time. I can understand Nixon and "W" but Reagan? I think the reason Reagan is targeted is not for his lack of success as president, rather, it is because of an abhorance for his conservative philosophies that seemed to work. He then leaves office after two terms and is popular enough to later elect the moderate dufus Bush simply because he was Reagans VP.
