So - two days ago, because of the government shutdown, veterans were barred from entering the War Memorial on the National Mall to attend a memorial service that was planned months in advance. The National Park Service deployed more guards (seven) to block 90-year-old veterans in wheelchairs from attending that service than the State Department had deployed at Benghazi (five). (In addition, vantage points for the views of Mount Rushmore have been closed due to the shutdown. The memorial at Normandy Beach was closed because of the shutdown.)
Today, a rally for illegal immigrants was held on that selfsame National Mall. It was attended by the thousands. There was a stage, there were lights, there was Nancy Pelosi.
So...why is it ok to have a rally for illegal immigration on the Mall, and not ok for veterans to attend a memorial service on the Mall?

Mmm...there was a stage, there were lights, there was Nancy Pelosi...so, no. Not buying that.
Originally posted by sasquatch672You don't think Mexicans know about stages and lights? It was probably paid for privately. Pelosi wants to scare the Republicans by advertising the fact that without a government, Mexicans are going to be able to come freely in large numbers.

Originally posted by sasquatch672I think you already know the answer to that Mr. Sasquatch. The national mall was closed due to the government shutdown so no one was permitted in (not just the vets). As for the rally, I don't think you'd be protesting so loudly if Eric Cantor or John Boehner were in attendence...would you??😏

But I like freaking out people who are scared of the Mexican hordes and/or the Pope.
EDIT - Wait did you say "ancient Azteca" is down by Mexico city? Umm no.
You're in the middle of Aztlan. Aztlan is the desert in the American southwest and northern Mexico.
But it's not in Wisconsin or Maine.
Aztlan is roughly equivalent to what is labelled Southwest on this map:

The Mexica told the Spanish that their ancestors had reached the Valley of Mexico about 300 years before, after having left their homeland Aztlán-Chicomoztoc, traditionally located far north of Tenochtitlan...
It seems now clear that the Mexica were the last of many tribes who migrated toward the Valley of Mexico from what is now Northern Mexico and/or the Southeastern United States due to a period of serious droughts, between 1100 and 1300 AD.
I suspect the "e" is a typo - it should say Southwestern

When I was a kid in the 50's, there were hardly any mexicans anywhere in the United States except for around Los Angeles, Tucson, etc, right near the border.
Now they are literally everywhere, you can't go to Waterloo, Iowa or Bugtussle, Alabama without running into them.
And look how great things are when they take over a neighborhood, then city, then (like all California) the state. Like a breath of fresh air ain't it?
Soon all of America will be just like Mexico. I hope you like it. Fortunately I will be dead by then.
