I define evil as the increase in pain, suffering, and all other sensations or emotions which are unpleasant to any being capable of experiencing unpleasantness, or the decrease of happiness, pleasure, and all other sensations or emotions which are pleasanat to any being capable of experiencing pleasantness, as well as any act which creates these things as a net consequence, or those parts of any act which creates these things as a consequence.
