American's are a strange group:

They want our elected lawmakers to work together to solve problems. However: When lawmakers do just this they are accused of "selling out" to the other side.

The want a cleaner, eco friendly country and planet. However: Most refuse to make any changes to there lifestyle in order to accomplish this, and frequently vote for lawmakers who think they can drill there way to energy independence

They point there boney fingers at other countries for selling arms and weapons around the world. However: Who is the biggest arms dealer on the planet? The good old USA!

They want armies, roads, libraries a crimminal justice system, and other government services. However: They don't want to raise the tax revenue to pay for them.

They want the Government to get off our backs. However: When financial institutions break the rules, oil rigs gush oil into the water, and the housing situation spins out of control. All we hear is: Where was the government oversite!!

They want to do away with pork barrel spending. However: When that pork produces jobs, and benefits to there local communities, they'll fight tooth and nail to keep them in place.

They whail about American jobs going overseas, and there manufacturing base being eroded. However: Will they buy American made goods, which may cost a bit more, but put Americans to work, stimulating the local, and national economy's? Not a chance!

They cry about the fact that they can't seem to get ahead in life, and everything seems stacked against them. However: Will they stop using there credit cards, live within there means, build there saving accounts consistently, and take responsibility for there own finances? In most cases...NO!

They whine about fast food resturants producing low quality foods that make them fat. However: Will they cook foods for themselves that is higher quality, and will keep them thin and healthy? In most cases...No.

American's: We have seen the enemy...and it is us!😕

Do you have Tourette's or something?

Every once in a while you seem to post this or some similar long list of truisms and tautologies that, for some odd reason, seek to vilify the US by illustrating, in your never-to-be-complex way, and restating the obvious about human nature.

I have another few for ya that you may have missed:

Americans are so strange:

- Americans want to maintain healthy weights and yet they eat too much 😏

- Americans want to have money and yet they spend it 😏

- Americans don't want to knock up random girls and yet they have sex with them 😏

- Americans want to make a lot of money, but they don't work hard enough to do so 😏

- Americans want to do well on tests but the don't study hard enough 😏

- Americans want healthcare, but they don't want to pay for it 😏

Americans are being influenced by American propaganda that is so good that Goebbels would be impressed. The enemy is not us, it is the corporate news media.

It is the absolute right of the State to supervise the formation of public opinion.

I don't think the US has quite got to that stage yet, but NZ and Australia both have state run television and radio stations, just another business gummint has no business being in.

I didn't say we had state run media.
It amounts to the same thing though.

If the people that own the mainstream media influence public opinion they can also influence who becomes elected president. They then control the state so it is the same thing.
Noam Chomsky explains it in better detail in Manufacturing Consent. His book was made into a film you can find and watch online.

Absolutely.
Look into Goebbels' art of PR and you'll see a lot of the Western nations using his techniques at the moment. Especially the populist parties in Scandanivia and lower Scandanavia (Holland that is then).

- Single out a target
- Repeat the message at every oppertunity
- etc.
