Wrong on both counts. Please explain how western countries have exploited poor countries. Western lifestyle is in fact possible in poor countries, if only they were able to work hard, stop the widespread corruption and make good decisions.
You cannot expect liberal socialist minds to even grasp the concept of what you are saying........................................... You do not mention government.
And they do not even understand the nuance of what THIS VERY POST IS SAYING. 🤔 🤔

Looks like they have left the pub early, to fight another day. As they knock the USA. I will give them something to give us a hard time about...our culture problems. We have no excuse!!!
Watch a show in the US called COPS. Short real-life cop videos chasing people all over the 'streets' ,as they like to call them..

Poor places around the world could be rich if they become like us. Yes, we have natural raw materials, but so does Africa. Even the NYT admits Somalia is a totally corrupt country. They bring their society to the society of Minnesota. (MN)

MN has a Scandinavian-Model Welfare System. A 'robust safety net program bankrolled by high taxes".....It works in small homogen ...[text shortened]... ble in a giant country like ours , and it is not possible in a country like Somalia that is corrupt
Stealing is widespread, corruption, dishonesty. Honest people are deemed suckers. They will see the somalee steal groceries while they are paying for their groceries. So, hell, We Will Steal Groceries Too! So will go the society,,,,,in MN!?
Stealing is REALLY a bad thing. Do the libs here find fault with...that culture?

This is 100% complete BS. You're either lying as a usual Trumptarded liar; or, you have absolutely no idea what you're talking about. Which is it little liar joe boy?

btw, I'm from Minneapolis St Paul Mn. There is hardly any Somali crime in either city. There is a fairly recent case where some Somali's ripped off government covid funds for millions under the guise of feeding the poor in the cites. Other than that, they have caused very little crime since they started migrating here back in the early 1990s. End of your liars story here.

The New York Times ran an article about Somali society and said that stealing is part of their thinking

Isn't that racist...?

I guess not so when a lib does it. hmmmm
Show a link to the article then?

I understand that they are also praying on the street and blocking traffic. Why are people tolerating these insane Muslims.
Or indeed people who refer to them as insane...

This makes no sense.

If I am getting this right, you are saying that lifestyle in the western world is not sustainable. That is what you just wrote. T
You then say no one can ‘ live that lifestyle’ What does that mean?
Did you ever hear about Earth Overshoot Day?

In short words it is the day after which humankind has used up all ressources, that Earth will replenish. Since EOD has been in July this year it is very clear that humankind as whole is not sustainable.

If you then look at the median use of ressources you will find the USA and Wetsren Europe very high up. Thus the calculation is quite simple: Humankind uses ressources faster than they can be replenished. Those who use more than the median are even less sustainable.

IThe richest country in the world seems to be getting along just fine. I don’t know anyone that is not having a sustainable life in our country.
Tell that to the homeless.

And you seem to define "sustainable" differently than "meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs"

We give billions of dollars a year to poor countries and all manner of other aid, how is the US exploiting them?
And you buy cheap raw materials, saving much more than those billions.
Oh yes that money just goes to the rich 1%, but the help is paid for by the taing ordinary people.

So to put it very simple: How would a "just" economic model look like?

In principle everyody would get the same money for the same work.

The cost of raw material would be the cost for the extraction (at equal payment) and the cost of shipping.

Be common sense. Do we take advantage? How? Economically? Military? Resources? Name a country that wants us to have nothing to do with them. You will not find it. We are a global financial powerhouse, our military is welcome all over the world, Many of our actions create benefits to many other countries. You have some of our products in your house. Sometimes our s ...[text shortened]... al. you libs just throw anything out there in your curious anger.
what do you mean by exploit??
Common sense: Das Recht des Stärkeren ist das stärkste Unrecht (Marie von Ebner-Eschenbach) The right of the stronger is the srongest injustice.

Yes the USA is still in the biggest economies.

Examples of bullying in state of negotiation:

* strong arming Saudi Arabia
* Bush's (jr) war on Iraq and the attempt to strnagarm other nations into a n alliance

is this on point? Do you think that the AdHan (Call to Prayer) that they wail from their newly constructed minarets will fit in comfortably witih your quiet day in the park.?
What if a citizen like me, or my lawyer AvBill, files a complaint to the town that the constant wailing is a nuisance? Illegal. AvBill asks the town to prohibit the nuisance call to prayer ...[text shortened]... p it in the bud!!!! They are building another minaret right next to my catholic church as we speak.
That is off topic, feel free to establish a new thread.

I’ll take your word for it at the moment. But tell me, are you cool with the wailing from the minarets, or from the loudspeakers where there are no minarets.I know Music real well, I know the ins and outs of music , and that is not near Music. It is screaming. So you are OK with screaming over the city park several times a day. You can be honest. Before you answer, I know someone else other than you that lives in Minneapolis.

You are correct,,,like, fossil fuels cannot last forever. But many years from now, we will not need them, so you can take that off your list. We will create our own energy, maybe from the sun, which will indeed last a long time.
We will never run out of water, and it is a fact that the amount of water on the Earth has always remained exactly the same
I cannot see a future where plants can no longer be grown, so I think they will always be replenished.
You are not totally wrong, but make it interesting and tell us what we will run out of, setting aside the different nations, which would also be retrofitted before that time, so you can hardly predict how the nature of human relationships will be in the future.

On the other hand, you define sustainable as having everything they need, which means a house and all the medicals and everything. That’s a bit of a stretch. All of these things can be found in this land of opportunity. Having said that, yes I know there are about 50 million people that can’t handle anything , and I think that our government should pay every dollar to sustain them. So we have but to define what the def of sustain would be.
On that, we would certainly not agree.

You know, if I were a citizen of some other country and not aware of the United States of America, and I went to a movie depicting atmosphere of the United States of America, such as families, the environment, the mountains, the cities, the bustling life, the self sufficiency , their success, the unbelievable growth, the unlimited opportunity, I would wonder what in the hell you’re talking about.
We have the seemy side, like watch COPS sometime of the vermin, nobody’s perfect.
