He’s a narcissist.
Everything is about defending his weak little ego.
A judge has power over him, and that is not possible (in his mind), so he lashes out, constantly bending truths and facts to suit what his ego needs.
It’s actually quite fascinating to see it play out like this. Most narcissists are quiet about it and just beat up their wives and the like.

In their minds Trump IS a king already and therefore literally above the law and they want him to be exactly like that if by some horrible situation he is reelected and he would become a dictator in a heartbeat if he had enough allies to pull off the coup that failed last time. So when he tries to save his ego by gaslighting everyone, someone pulls up what he originally said or done.
It must be very frustrating for him. So, then the media has to be fake, doesn’t it. It is impossible for him to be wrong. So, everything else is fake, made to get him, motivated by anti-trumpism, etc.
And what’s fascinating is that this is all playing out on TV. And you can see his victims (yes republicans… when you are convinced by a narcissist, you are a victim) defending him:
- oh, he was only joking
- oh, the media is fake and out for him
- oh, the whole justice system is opposed to him
- oh, he loves me really officer…
Normally it’s only psychologists (for the victims, narcissists obviously hardly ever go to therapy… there’s nothing wrong with them, it’s always someone else), police and survivors who get to see the whole spectacle play out.
But now it’s the world.
