I immediately thought of riffing off a Sinatra song, then out of respect decided not to.

They would imply ignorance of the law is an excuse. Is that your position?
Yes. That's not to say that they didn't commit a crime, even though it was unknowingly. I'm just saying they aren't a criminal by nature like someone who goes 35 in a 25 mi zone because they aren't paying attention. Also, I'm just winging this to humor you so cut me slack, Socrates.

I don’t agree that their children knowingly committed any crimes.
Agreed.

Depends I guess. If its some esoteric overreach BS law about what you can do with a puddle on your own property or something, which no rational person would ever think of, then you may commit the crime, be guilty of the crime, be punished for the crime, but I still would not call you a criminal.

You've already earned a lot of slack for agreeing with me about trusting the government some time ago and for generally not being one of the idiots

Seems to be Trump's position!

Just wait till RFK Jr. tries to propose a copper toilet for its health benefits instead of the golden toilets Trump prefers.

I'm not in favor of this, and it has been a while since I saw the final "circus" episode of The Prisoner, but these times remind me of that.

It implies you use the word "criminal" as a dog whistle code word instead of what it actually means.

I see lots of people demanding people define words lately. How about this one?

Define criminal please.
A criminal is somone why breaks a law, of which the punishment for breaking is more than a fine.

That’s an exaggeration, a form of metafore.
