South Korea does military exercises and the north bombs? Now the south is going to do it again and maybe provoke more responses?

Is there some specific reason to do military exercises within sight of the Northern border?

Wouldn't it be more prudent, if you have to do military exercises, to do them way south so the north would not have an excuse to attack? Why do them so close to the border unless you are trying to make some kind of statement.

Doesn't it seem provocative of the South to conduct these operations so close to the North? Even ten miles south looks to me would make a big difference in the response of the north, an admittedly insane regime but why provoke them like that?

Yeah the South has a lot of nerve conducting military exercises on their own soil after the North has sunk their ships and bombed their territory, what nerve. Obviously the South is at fault and to blame for everything. Kim-Shee is a sweetheart who only wants peace.

It's a mixture of chest thumping, willy waving and electoral pressure to "act tough". There's no rational reason.

The North denies sinking the ship and there is no good reason to do military exercises so close to the North. That island is really close to the north. It is like the South is trying to provoke the North.

Why should a nuclear power put up with such disrespect?

I think the north is reasonable for reacting like they did. The south completely ignored the north when they asked the south to conduct the military exercises at a more comfortable distance.

Why do you think the North is an insane regime? I think they are playing their cards very well. I think the Kim family is very sane and deliberate.

As with most problems in the world. The whole Korean situation has something to do with US intervention.

It is never reasonable to act unreasonably, we don't need to define 'reasonable', and we don't have to define 'define'. It was a self defeating statement by KN he's on a bad run tonight.
