I have got to the point lately that I am just fed up with being sick and tired all the time. Too weak to lift a gallon of milk with out problems.
I need to lose weight too. So I am taking action. Might not be the wisest thing to do. But I would rather burn out quick then flicker slowly out.
So I have cut back on eating. WAY back. I am eating every other day. And never late at night.
I eat breakfast and dinner. no lunch. Trying to drink more fluids.
And I am pushing myself physically much harder too. Making myself lift and do other labor that I have problems doing. I will either get some strength back. Or get worse. But I have to do something!
The pain has jumped up as expected. And I am more tired then ever. But at least I am taking action.
Not sure why I am posting this. But felt like I wanted to.
Only time will tell how it turns out.
Besides the MS I have High blood pressure and two heart valves that leak a bit. I had a couple of small stroked a few years ago too.
So I am well aware of what could happen. But I am fed up to HERE with feeling so helpless!

I admire you, HG. Keep fighting the good fight. When you manage to lose some weight and regain some strength, you'll be amazed at how much better your quality of life will be. You'll also feel better about yourself and that's half the battle.

I am doing just fine... can walk and talk like a regular person.
when I was hit hard in 2003, I went on STD, and cut our budget back to the 66 2/3 of the pay which we received..... also re-financed the home backward to 30 years in anticipation of loosing more functions. I did.
But we adapted, and are better than some......
So does it annoy me to see people who stretched their needs on homes and got bailed out? Yes to some degree. Does it annoy me to see ads that tell people if they are over 10K in debt on credit cards, they can get help? yes to some degree.
But does it get to a point where I loose sleep.

I was debating FMF on the Health care issue, told him to try a shot there, and see what they say about the plan.... you see not only do you lose the ability to work, you have huge medical costs. Medicare does not kick in for 2 years...... so how does an average person pay 1000.00 a month to keep basic insurance for 2 years?
I paid it, to the tune of 18K for just myself, no dental, or vision. The wife and kids costs were somewhat lower, but it all adds up.
A typical drug used to stop progression, runs 22K a year.
I have argued against the health care plan, which would seem stupid at first glance.... but it's not a good plan. When they don't cover pre-existing conditions for 4 years, and then say the cost will be no more than 4x the price of a healthy person, that puts it right back at COBRA level for costs,, 1000.00 a month.
How can anyone even afford that?
I dunno. It was a mistake to post these wrtings from the MS forum without asking the people first, so that stos today. But it was an effort to get someone to realize, you have to listen to those who are experiencing these problems......

See above, I took care of my own problems, I told you those posts came from the MS forum,, so you twisted that as well..... you are not only a troll, but a liar.
If my problem takes me to a situation that I have never traveled, and things get bad, I have family to help me.... as it should be in all of our lives. If there is a strong family.. which by the way, religions practice.
