Or fed up with silly yeti like cretins? That happened years ago.

Mike, you clearly think this war is worth fighting. Isn't it worth, then, paying for right now, instead of driving up huge deficits and wrecking our economy?
If you can put a monetary value on it, then it has absolutely no value.
That is the point. For you to take the side of the beheaders is a betrayal of trust. Your only point seems to be that you are just a hick and the world left you standing at the alter. Poor thing. Mistreated by the rich. Put down by the oil barons.
Originally posted by sasquatch672I'm not surprised that you are surprised by my reaction. You don't seem to get much. In any fashion.
Uh, well, Geez, Mike, that's a bit harsh, not to mention counterintuitive - "if it has a value, then it has no value" - but I assure you that I am neither a hick nor have been left standing at the altar by the world. (Funny, someone from Wyoming calling me a hick.) Actually, my finances are in fine repair. I won't go into detail, because that's rude. hijacked by the Religious Right. Definitely surprised by your reaction, though.
Is not the title of this thread an effort to support the defeat of the US and thus indirectly support the beheaders?
"When Will Americans Get Fed Up?"
Fed up with what? Maybe you just don't get it. Before we go further, reply to your own poser. Fed up with what yeti? Fighting beheaders?

The expeditious answer to your question is paying for a government whose every endeavor seems committed to flushing this country's economic future down the toilet.
I will bow out now. There is no point in arguing with marxist doctrine that every issue has it's morality based in economics.
Strange religion.
My meaning in saying that "If you can put a monetary value on it means it has no value" confused you because to me the inclusion of "monetary" was the entire predicate. A war against beheaders has value based on deciding which side to take: the beheaders, wherein we all live under sharia; those fighting the beheaders. The value that is being fought for is "religious freedom". Your insistence on a marxian application of "morality of economy" is kind of sickening.
You probably don't need support from a euro-trash like me but the things you have stated here are just the product of actually thinking with the freedom you cherish. Many people don't.
Most countries have the same injustices to greater or lesser extent; it seems part of the human condition. I wouldn't label these observations as socialist or fascist, redneck or liberal though. It doesn't help and just means they can be dismissed by those who have already made their minds up about what they think these words mean.
Be glad that you can see these things and have the freedom to express them and maybe you can persuade a few other people that these things are wrong.

Originally posted by sasquatch672Boo hoo, there is no reason for women not to work, other than obviously getting maternity leave when they have kids. I personally wouldn't want to marry someone who was just going to stay home and raise kids while I work all day. As much of a pain as that can be, it shouldn't be her full-time job (just a second full-tiime job, shared between husband and wife). Wives should have jobs and social lives and not be dependant on the husband for all income. I think women should work and ought to be paid the same as men. And before you go saying that I am just ignoring traditional values and being too new and liberal, the women in my family, with one exception, have been working and having jobs since before the depression in the 20's.
And yet it's harder than it's ever been in America for a husband and wife to raise their family. A wife almost has to work in order for the family to be able to survive, and in way too many families, she doesn't even have the option.
