I don't get why children can't simply remove masks once their at their seats, like at restaurants.

Do you think the owners of the restaurant would support the right of a bakery to refuse to bake a wedding cake for a gay marriage?

Vaccinate your sprogs and mask them up, at the very least. But if even slightly possible, switch to remote learning.
It's not the working adults who are spreading Corona right now. It's the playing children.

Well, about 20% of the entire US population has covid now, mostly Omicron or Delta so there isn't much anyone can do except isolate, wear masks and get the jabs.
