@earl-of-trumps saidAs they should be, if the virus accelerated the death.
@Eladar
that's right. I believe it was Dr. Birx that made the announcement from the white house.
If you are dying of cancer but also get CV, and you die,,, it is now considered a CV death.
If a cancer patient gets hit by a bus and dies, you don't put cancer as the cause of death on the death certificate.
Here's the CDC Guidelines:
When determining whether COVID–19 played a role in the
cause of death, follow the CDC clinical criteria for evaluating a
person under investigation for COVID–19 and, where possible,
conduct appropriate laboratory testing using guidance provided
by CDC or local health authorities. More information on CDC
recommendations for reporting, testing, and specimen collection,
including postmortem testing, is available from: https://www.
cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-nCoV/hcp/clinical-criteria.html and
https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/hcp/guidancepostmortem-specimens.html. It is important to remember that
death certificate reporting may not meet mandatory reporting
requirements for reportable diseases; contact the local health
department regarding regulations specific to the jurisdiction.
In cases where a definite diagnosis of COVID–19 cannot
be made, but it is suspected or likely (e.g., the circumstances
are compelling within a reasonable degree of certainty), it
is acceptable to report COVID–19 on a death certificate as
“probable” or “presumed.” In these instances, certifiers should
use their best clinical judgement in determining if a COVID–19
infection was likely. However, please note that testing for
COVID–19 should be conducted whenever possible.

@no1marauder saidTrue. And if a terminally ill cancer patient who has only mild CV symptoms dies, you should call it a cancer death, not a CV death.
As they should be, if the virus accelerated the death.
If a cancer patient gets hit by a bus and dies, you don't put cancer as the cause of death on the death certificate.
I don't care how they operate as long as there is consistency so that the figures world wide are more meaningful. But that is no the case, nor is there consistency now in the US as the standard has now been changed.
And that was my point all along, the stats are not "accurate".
@no1marauder saidSo what is the difference in symptoms of the flu and coronavirus?

@eladar saidNot quite, when Public Health England report their figures they report deaths in hospital. The Office of National Statistics report deaths as recorded on the death certificate. So if someone in a care home dies and their doctor records covid-19 on the death certificate it will not be reported in PHE figures, but will be reported in ONS figures, which come out more slowly.
@divegeester
So the UK is doing it differently than the US.
@Eladar
JEBESUS. Because they were tested positive and then got bad enough to be put on ventilators and the word in the street is once you are on vents you chances of survival goes down the toilet.
Why do you not believe the numbers? You think they are somehow hiding the real numbers or some such?
Like Trump insinuating medical personnel were selling PPE out the back door.
That was reprehensible but hey, he is your god king so what did you expect?
Take Chloroquine, what have you got to lose. UNFUKKING QOUTE. Not even caring one person died trying it, the fish tank version but they trusted their fearless so-called leader and now the husband is dead.
Besides that, even if you take the real stuff, the amount between theraputical and fatal is very narrow, if the dose calls for 15 mg and you double it, you die.
And there is known interactions with the heart, you have heart trouble and take that stuff, your heart might stop.
Trump can't keep his ugly orange mouth SHUT. He comes up with the most stupid talks for a POTUS EVER.
Attacking individual people because he has the moral level of a 15 year old.
Ignoring ALL advice because just ask him, he is a 'stable genius' and therefore has no need of all that pesky advice, like military, political, financial, whatever, he is better than ANY of them, just ask him, he will tell you in no uncertain terms.
Like when a reporter asked him on a scale of 1 to 10 how are you doing, Oh, a TEN of course.
What a pile of maggot infected BULLSHYTE.
@sonhouse What a pile of maggot infected BULLSHYTE.
Funny. I was thinking the same thing... about your post.
@Earl-of-Trumps
Of that I have no doubt, since your god king Trump can do no wrong and whatever he does therefore is RIGHT.
And now, the corruption is Colorado, don't know if you followed that one but you can bet your boots WE will remember in November, ALL of his corruption.
