Nobody has accurate infection numbers. Impossible, just about. Death toll is even questionable. What happens when a person with heart and kidney disease dies while he has the virus? Well, now, they have even changed that. It is now counted as a CV death. It wasn't before.
And it can vary from country to country so their figures cannot be counted together. Not accurately, anyway

For what it's worth, I look at this site. You can look at the world, individual countries, etc.
I don't know if it's any more accurate than other places, and as you can see not every place has updated regularly.
My state in the US only updates once a day, but I think others are more frequent.

That was up to April 1st, we are now one week later and yesterday's deaths here were 938. You're the maths teacher, so do some on that curve.
Total annual UK deaths from flu in the UK are around 17,000 mostly over the six month flu season. That is an average of 93 a day over the 6 months.
Yesterday nearly 1000 people died and it's climbing.
Is it sinking in yet?

That site has been deemed unreliable by No1.
I said there are differences between its count and the IMHE one so that you can't compare its numbers to the latter's projection.
