You are right, I did say that 'you know' that the epstein investigation is solely to ensnare Trump. This is to reflect general consensus, but you indeed prob think that is not case. So, we still can have fun to see who is correct on that matter. If in the next few months his 'name does not come up' and he moves along with MAGA, in my opinion, the investigation will end, and you weenies will not acknowledge it even then. But when it happens, I will not dwell on it, there is a lot more wonderful about his policies that we can chat about.

The general consensus is that pedophilia should be a crime, and that there were people in the Epstein files guilty of that crime that DOJ knows about and refuses to prosecute.

We at least need an explanation as to why. They have witness testimony from dozens of people. They have evidence that over 1,000 people were trafficked illegally. They have videos and photos. They have bank records and flight logs and emails. The DOJ has probably spent tens of millions on this investigation, now. Tax dollars. Why aren't they pursuing any criminal prosecutions? They have Ghislaine Maxwell in a low-security prison for celebrities? Really?

Just answer some questions honestly, Pam Bondi. This doesn't have to be a witch hunt unless you want it to be.

OK, I hear you, you as an interested observer of the investigation of a pedophile. I am not interested in it, I have never really written about it here, and sex crimes stay out of my mind. I think if Patel wants to change the facts previously stated by Trump's DOJ in 2019 then he needs to provide some basis for that.

This does not work because the ultra wealthy landlords (e.g. Blackstone) will buy up the new houses to keep property values and rents high.

Virtually impossible for a group of rich guys can buy up all the rental prop in NYC.
There are too many independent owners, too many laws, too many competing investors for anyone to corner the entire housing market... other landlords will drop their rents to compete with those rich guys
NYC has millions of housing units owned by tens of thousands of different individuals, co-ops, condo associations, real estate families, nonprofits, and investment groups.
Further much of the city's, housing supply is legally or structurally not for sale in bulk. Also antitrust law prevents market cornering. Monopoly behavior with trigger a real big red flag..
Remember these rich people compete with each other. It is the game they play. They will not all raise the rent, there will be those who make their rent lower to win the game. They compete, they do not collaborate. Also, the market is so dynamic that no one can freeze it as you suggest.
And the real elephant in the room is that market forces would overwhelm what some rich investors think they can do.
