Kick enough people out of their original health insurance and force them to buy yours and you can get better numbers.
How many people have actually paid premiums and how many of those are people that didn't already have insurance before?

Two caveats. First, we know little about RAND’s survey methodology at this time; we’ll have to see the actual study to see the details of what they did. Second, we don’t know how many previously uninsured people signed up for off-exchange coverage, above and beyond the normal rate of churn that this market would traditionally see.
More significantly, the article ignores the substantial expansion of Medicaid (at least in states where Republicans aren't blocking it), which is getting millions covered who previously had no health care coverage.
Originally posted by SoothfastYou mean the same Medicaid that insures that these people will have nothing for their children to inherit?

We'll see how long the Federal government is going to fully fund the Medicaid expansion.

You're just another dimwitted hack for this petty tyrant.
EDIT: And I might suggest to you some subject-verb agreement the next time you're feeling smug.

Originally posted by bill718The real numbers are about a million new covered (most likely less, and many enrolled haven't yet paid a first premium), since the 7 million must be reduced by the number who lost their old coverage (which most liked better). Since there were supposed to be 40 million without coverage, how is even 7 million a big success?

The other terrible negative is that the massive exclusions, copays, and deductibles are going to be a shock to those who think they are covered, since their annual physical, or birthcontrol is covered. When they are really sick and have to have a serious surgery, and find out the first $10k is not covered, then the reality of Obama care will hit home.
Of course, the layoffs are reality, already happening, as well as the failure of the business sector to embark on expansion. Death panels will come in the future, as there will always be some sort of rationing of short resources. Obama care created no new resources, so whatever shortages existed before will still exist, and due to incentives or disincentives they will become worse.
You are already spinning and making excuses to give the impression of success, when by every measure the plan is a failure.

Originally posted by sasquatch672All that stuff is STILL going on? So, just where are these "death panels" that are still going on? When did the economy crash? (The last one I saw was in 2008 when "W" ran things), and at what point did the ACA reduce all of America to part time work? I like to learn these things from a smart guy like you.

I will accept your criticism of my sentence structure, the rest of what you wrote is either incorrect, or an unjustified lashing out at the truth.
Originally posted by bill718Dear bill78, The monthly premium for me is over $400 which would do absolutely nothing until the $4850 yearly deductible is met. Then it would cover 60% of doctor visits and prescriptions. If you can actually think that is either affordable or even healthcare you have been drinking the Kool-Aid. Of course the website is a scam (totally screwed up). The ACA is a failure and no Democrat will publicly admit it. I was a Democrat until recently. But Obama convinced me to never vote Democrat again. 😠
