Trump’s interactions with the states and his speeches have been jarringly inconsistent. One day, he called himself a wartime president with "total authority" the next day, he says he is merely President backup, insisting states take charge, while he's there to help states only as he deems necessary.
Since it's impossible to lead and follow at the same time I must ask:
Which President is in the White House?

@mchill saidShould you not set out the circumstances upon which he made these statements? "One day" just dont cut it.

@mchill saidAs the Covid Pandemic was spreading like wild fire, the DNC was busy trying to impeach Trump.

But now that the impeachment failed, they have successfully transferred all power to the governors of the states as they figured out how to politicize a pandemic for political power.
You have to hand it to them. They never stop.
And with all the "write in" votes (wink, wink) that will be cast for Biden, I can hardly wait to see how many votes Biden wins by.

@whodey saidAs the COVID Pandemic was spreading like wildfire, Trump was telling America that it would melt away down to 0.

That’s better. Glad I could help. 😛
@mghrn55 saidLol, spread like wild fire? Really? Perhaps in the high density living areas, but outside the big cities where has it killed large numbers of people?

In California and Texas where are people dying in large numbers?

Average Joe, Whodey, Eladar - Thanks for your responses, but none of you answered my question, so I'll ask again:
How can a President be a lead and follow (back up) at the same time??
@mchill saidSeriously, can we follow the old “moving target “ concept, something he has to deal with every day. He may think one thing one day, learn something the next day, think of it in the shower, shift a lot of thinking, consider the power of the governors compared to his power, and then improve on what he has previously planned with the info presented . At least he is not bombing an aspirin factory for nefarious reasons.....I hope I said all that right.

Put more simply, everyone has a right to change their minds, even you. So One day he said he would handle it(lead)And then the next day said to the states let’s do this a different way.(back up).
