Shortly after the FBI raided Mar-a-Lago this month, reportedly to reclaim documents Donald Trump had taken from the White House in January 2021, journalist David Martosko announced that a source close to the former president confirmed the documents were boxed by government staffers in the GSA, not Trump’s own staffers.

We aren't even CLOSE to getting the whole process as to how Trump got all those documents
into his possession but it is clear that the government knew all along that Trump had the documents.

However, the GSA on Friday responded and said the onus rests with an administration on what is transported when a president leaves the Oval Office.
"The responsibility for making decisions about what materials are moved rests entirely with the outgoing president and their supporting staff," the agency said in a statement.
And of course that is how it works. This "defense" of Dear Leader reeks of desperation. Even if it were true that "the packers dunnit," this issue of classified documents sitting in Trump's Bizarro-Lardo resort has been headlining for over a year now. Feigning ignorance of being in possession of classified docs at this point is laughable.
