Marauder will not give up lying to his constituents that there will be not cos to taxpayers. That, a taxpayer who never went to college, or a guy who just finished paying off his $40k loan, is going to fund the reduction of the loan balances of college graduates with 6-figure salaries.
I find it a bit reprehensible, his posts will have you telling your friends an untruth. More than an untruth. He should step up. Why does he not?
Here is a short read. Now you know.
If you are busy, the 3rd paragraph will enlighten you.
Source: Yahoo Finance: Rick Newman, financial. (If you don't like Yahoo or Newman, save your bychin...It is still a fact)
""President Biden is trying again to cancel student loan debt for up to 25 million borrowers after the Supreme Court killed his first effort to do so last year. The new plan draws on a different legal justification, which Biden officials hope will be better able to survive inevitable court challenges.
If the plan holds, the government will write down the student loan balances for the majority of Americans who hold them by $5,000 to $20,000. For some, that will entail the full amount of their loans. Economists expect the lower debt load on millions of consumers to boost spending and economic growth (and, possibly, inflation).
But the money isn’t free. Sure, it’s government money, which doesn’t seem completely real, but by canceling debt payments the government forgoes future revenue, which adds to annual deficits and the total national debt. Future taxpayers will essentially pay the bill.
All told, Biden's debt-cancellation plans will cost the government $559 billion in foregone revenue over the coming decade, according to analysis from the Penn Wharton Budget Model. Biden is proposing no new revenue to cover the cost, which means it goes straight on top of the pile of what America owes to its creditors. """"""'
That's It! Off to work, now. Oh, do you know Marauder said yesterday that no person should own a business. Take that to its logical conclusion....That means when you work and/or earn money, you will NOT be working for yourself, you will work for some other entity. Technically, you can never consider yourself a success.
Dam.

It's a complete waste of time discussing anything with you; you're too stupid and uneducated to grasp any points of view that aren't spoon fed you by right wing propaganda outlets.
This issue has been discussed on this Forum like literally over 100 times. And you still don't understand it.

I do not have to read the post, and you do not understand, or have to understand, the nature of the money that is being used to reduce this debt to the government.
Just as long as everyone else realizes the misinformation which you have spread that '100' times.
Note that you are calling this source, altho there are many more sources, a propoganda source. By what reasoning? Sonhouse-type reasoning??
Everyone, your grandchildren will be paying this.

@Ponderable saidHang with me, Ponderable. Let's just say what I posted is one man's opinion.
We don't.
Read the second one I posted which PROVES it all. Thankyou for subscribing.
Rich kids don't have student loans.
Poor kids need student loans just to get an education. So they're still handicapped by poverty even after they get into the workforce. The poor always pay more.
Forgiving of some part of student loans seems like something no decent person would object to. It only benefits poor people who worked hard to get educated and lift their families out of poverty, not the rich, not the lazy loafers. And a country which runs deficits every year since forever can just print more money to pay for it.
@Kewpie saidI do not take issue, and of course, the world is not perfect. But we speak not of rich kids, so setting that aside, there are those , not rich, but whho, with proper planning, will get a loan to go to college, and maybe thereafter to grad school. I did myself, I had not one nickel from anyone for my last 3 years...borrowed every nickel, Not to get personal, but I speak from experience, please.

So we move to 'Forgiving of some part' in your post. You say it 'seems like decent thing to do'. You lose me there. 'Seems like' could cover credit card debt. and Starving kids of single mothers. That would be decent. too. You go further to say that '(Payment by govt of the loans) only benefits poor people." Yes, but you want other citizens who are working, who never went to college, to pay off those loans.?? Payment of the loans, by uneducated citizens who are less than rich? THEY are paying off the loans, Kewpie. But they get NO benefit...the college grads get a benefit FROM THEM.
Why is this so difficult to understand? It is extremely unfair, yet liberal members of our societies always preach fair. Fair would be let people to build their llives and not be hit-upon by other members of society to pay their debt.
How am I off-base witih this logic?
@AverageJoe1
Tax cuts only benefit people who are rich enough to be liable for tax. So by your reasoning the poor miss out there too. Why no tantrums about tax cuts?

@AverageJoe1 saidNo one's taxes went up to specifically pay for these loans.

So, again, your given is entirely false.
"Yes, but you want other citizens who are working, who never went to college, to pay off those loans.?? Payment of the loans, by uneducated citizens who are less than rich? THEY are paying off the loans, Kewpie. But they get NO benefit...the college grads get a benefit FROM THEM."
They're not paying anything. They pay their taxes JUST LIKE ALWAYS. Their taxes aren't going up. They are NOT "paying more". The government, in a moment of clarity, is using money from those taxes to cut the loan obligation, which is an honorable way to spend the government's money, instead of buying even more bombs. What I would like to see for those "uneducated citizens" is for the government to pay for THEIR education. We have to do SOMEthing to reduce the sheer amount of ignorance that is killing this country.
@Mott-The-Hoople saidI'm thinking ignorant sumbitches like yourself could benefit from a grant to go to college. Why do you fight the idea? Do you secretly LOVE being in thrall to a nasty RICH con man?

I'm fighting for people exactly like you, Mott. Being dumb as dirt doesn't really help you (or us) out any.
