Why are Japan's covid rates plummeting?

Debates

Some suggest it was making Ivermectin available to people there.

I think covid may have already spread through the population and did much of the damage possible and most people there now have natural immunity.

Why do you suggest Japan is doing better?

Because they aren't full of themselves like Americans, and have no problem wearing masks for the good of everyone.

Duhhh.

I haven't followed Japan's COVID response, but I do know that wearing masks and taking precautions is actually a normal part of Japanese culture.

Japanese citizens have been wearing masks when sick long before the pandemic. This is such a staple of their culture, I once played a Japanese video game that came out in 2015, where the main character went to a movie theater while a significant number of the audience wore masks. No comment was made about it, wearing masks was just a normal as the characters having clothes.

So if I were to venture a guess as to why COVID is plummeting (assuming what you say is true), I'd give credit to their culture.

How many years will it take to have the panic label on covid removed and people simply get on with their lives.

Getting sick is part of life and eventually you will die.

“Some” are obviously wrong.

Ivermectin has nothing to do with anything Covid related.

Are you ready to go, right now?

Then don't ask that of anyone else, Mr. Selfish.

Start spreading it around that covering yourself in manure and clucking like a chicken at the moon will cure Covid.

Trump supporters might all do that, too.

I will be ready to go when the time comes.

The selfish people are the ones making money on the vaccines. Our government has blood on its hands for failure to inform people about how to best prepare to survive getting sick, which does not mean a person can't get vaxxed.

People like you also have blood on your hands for attempting to belittle the science of immune health and bowing down to big government and big pharm.

@Suzianne
That would not surprise at all, they are totally programmed by Trump.
But the slight good news is Trump rallies are not full like he wanted, maybe half full and the other day Hannity interviewed Trump and Han said, I boosted (third shot) and Trump goes, I did to! and got boo'd by the audience. Small signs but maybe that will get more meaningful in the coming months.

Other nations wore masks. South Korea for example.
You obviously didn't watch the video........or didn't pay attention.

No amount of conservative hand-waving will get people to agree with you.

Conservatives might, but hey, they believe Trump, too, so there's that -- not exactly a victory.

That’s how The French attract partners.

Their cases are far higher than Japan's.

Ivermectin must be a factor. Even the deniers are having trouble denying this.

Improve your reading comprehension.

My point wasn't just about wearing masks. It was about Japan's culture that takes the spreading of disease seriously, even long before COVID. It has been common practice in Japan for years for people to wear masks in public places when sick.

In short, Japan takes preventative measures more seriously, as evidenced by your video where the speaker laughs at the severity of Omicron.

I read just fine, but you just don't make any sense.

Are you claiming Japanese people are better at wearing masks than other nations?
Did they take special courses I am unaware of?

"In short, Japan takes preventative measures more seriously"

How? What preventative measures? You have not given a single example of what the Japanese are doing that is "more serious", that other countries are not doing.
