@metal-brain saidThe article Dore read was about Japan compared to most western nations. The difference is the general attitude toward preventing the spread of disease, where in the west, people like you, Eladar, Trump, etc., continually downplay the severity of communicable diseases; like when Jimmy Dore was laughing at people being concerned about Omicron.
I read just fine, but you just don't make any sense.
Are you claiming Japanese people are better at wearing masks than other nations?
Did they take special courses I am unaware of?
"In short, Japan takes preventative measures more seriously"
How? What preventative measures? You have not given a single example of what the Japanese are doing that is "more serious", that other countries are not doing.
The difference is not what the Japanese government is doing, it's the Japanese culture, compared to western conservative idiots who keep trying ignore government mandates or even mock people who wear masks.

How do you know, do you live there?
James Corbett lives in Japan. He mentioned that they wear face masks every flu season, but aside from that I don't see them doing anything differently that would explain that is the reason. Since the pandemic started people worldwide have had a different general attitude toward preventing the spread of disease. What makes Japan so special?
There is no evidence wearing masks is effective in preventing transmission of the virus. Jerome Adams gave specific reasons why wearing them does more harm than good. Here is an excerpt from the link below:
“It's important to understand that we are looking at the data every single day and we make the best recommendations to the American people we can based on what we know,” Adams said on Tuesday.
“What the World Health Organization [WHO] and the CDC [The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention] have reaffirmed in the last few days is that they do not recommend the general public wear masks.”
He then explained the reasons why.
“On an individual level, there was a study in 2015 looking at medical students and medical students wearing surgical masks touch their face on average 23 times,” Adams explained. “We know a major way that you can get respiratory diseases like coronavirus is by touching a surface and then touching your face so wearing a mask improperly can actually increase your risk of getting disease.”
Adams went on to say that wearing a face mask “can also give you a false sense of security." He added that "you see many of these pictures with people out and about closer than six feet to each other, but still wearing a mask.”
He noted that there are also consequences to wearing masks."

The Japanese are not better at wearing masks from experience. All face masks are useless and do more harm than good.
@metal-brain saidAnd some would then be obviously wrong.
Some suggest it was making Ivermectin available to people there.

I think covid may have already spread through the population and did much of the damage possible and most people there now have natural immunity.
Why do you suggest Japan is doing better?
Moron.

“One of the things they shouldn’t be doing, the general public, is going out and buying masks,” Adams said in March.
But earlier this week, Adams said, “Please, please wear a face covering when you go out.”
So what’s changed? Adams said we didn’t realize in March how easily the virus could spread from asymptomatic people.
“It’s important for people to understand that we now know 40%-50% of cases of coronavirus are spread asymptomatically, and that’s different than any other coronavirus we’ve experienced before,” Adams said. “It means you can have no symptoms -- no cough, no fever -- and still be someone who is spreading the disease.”

Japan's high level of vaccination and mask wearing is not enough to explain their low Omicron infections and deaths. South Korea also has a high degree of vaccinations and mask wearing yet Omicron is surging. The following article says the Japanese might have a genetic factor that makes their immune system more effective against Covid19 and its variants.

Covid deaths make a very small proportion of total deaths in any country.
"During the months December 2020, January 2021, and February 2021, COVID-19 was the leading cause of death in the United States based on the average number of daily deaths. As of November 2021, same as in October, COVID-19 was the third leading cause of death in the U.S."

You have no idea which time he lied. You are blindly accepting the word of a liar as to which time he lied. He told the truth the first time and he has been lying ever since. Adams gave specific reasons why wearing masks does more harm than good. Here they are again:
“What the World Health Organization [WHO] and the CDC [The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention] have reaffirmed in the last few days is that they do not recommend the general public wear masks.”

So it was not just Adams and Fauci, it was the WHO and the CDC as well and none of them has produced any evidence their original statements (with specific reasons wearing masks does more harm than good) are wrong because of any more recent study.
I created a whole thread about this once, remember?
Where is the data no1?

@vivify saidCorrupted statistics result from corrupted CDC data.
https://www.statista.com/statistics/1254560/leading-causes-of-death-in-the-us-average-number-daily/
"During the months December 2020, January 2021, and February 2021, COVID-19 was the leading cause of death in the United States based on the average number of daily deaths. As of November 2021, same as in October, COVID-19 was the third leading cause of death in the U.S."
80% of people that die from gene vaccines die within 2 weeks of being jabbed. They are counted by the CDC as UNVACCINATED! Most of those people died from the gene vaccines, yet they are counted as unvaccinated deaths.
Stop relying on statistics using corrupted US data.
