Ask not why, but be thankful, my son.

When taken in certain amount, ethanol has disinhibitory effect that makes a lot of people bahave in a way they would not usually do. If you recognise such phenomenon, there's a possibility that your girl(s) think either consiously or subconsiously that she shouldn't be turned on by a man like you when they are sober. I don't mean to be rude but I suppose you are unmarried and enjoying your youth?

This might be one of urban myths, but some people say that drinking alchohol makes oposite sex looks much more atractive in heterosexual people.

In general, alchohol weakens people's judgement and supressive thinking. This sort of behaviour can be seen anywhere in both men and women 😛

Yes, alcohol makes one lose their inhibitions ( increasing the self-confidence to be more sociable, talkative, less shy towards people of the opposite sex etc... ) and therefore respond more freely to sexual stimulation; as said previously, the alcohol affects the part of the brain that controls judgment, and men and women are affected by this; for example, a sober woman would probably not choose to walk home alone at 2AM after a night in a club, but someone who's had a few drinks may not see that it's an unwise thing to do. Judgement is blurred...
Although the acohol increases sexual desire and as you say people get turned on more, it actually reduces sexual capacity!
I think you see the most outrageous behaviour in women in countries where people are known for their reserve. ( well I can say this is very true of England)

Well, yes, English people are known for their reserve, traditionally. But with what they call the "ladette" culture, you see another side of people, especially women, when the pubs close. 😵

No, she has made a very sound judgement. If she is still alone in a club full of drunken men at 2am, she is obviously a real dog and as such is quite safe too walk ANYWHERE at any time. So your argument that alcohol reduces judgement fails.

It is not safe to walk home drunk. The safe thing to do after leaving a club drunk is to get a cab home or get a friend who's not been drinking to take you home. What planet do you live on ?

Hm, I guess that depends on where you live. While I don't spend nights in clubs, I have been walking home in the middle of the night quite a few times (and I don't drink).

What do you mean by a "real dog" anyway? Someone who's drunk is very vulnerable, not having the reflexes and energy to act swiftly if they're being attacked for instance.

I agree it's not safe to walk home drunk. So a sober woman would probably decide not to walk home drunk. 😉

It was a joke.

He meant that if by 2AM she didn't get a guy in a pub full of men, she's too ugly to attract rapists.
