..... of God ?
BigDoggProblem: "It's impossible to prove the existence of God."
Everyone debating this question should realise this. The reasons ?
If we were able to prove the existence of God, that would mean that we would be able to "localise" Him. We would be able to have some power over Him and that is in contradiction with what the Bible tells us who the God of Abraham is. The God of Abraham, the only true God, the Triune God, is a hidden God.
Another reason is that God does not want to fórce us to accept His existence. That would also be in contradiction with how God reveals Himself in the Bible, being Love. He shows Himself, by incarnating into a human being, His Son, as an innocent and vulnerable child, not as a mighty earthly conqueror.
Anybody who knows a third or fourth reason why the existence of God, the God of Abraham, cannot be proven by us, human beings ?

But that's not the kind of debate I'm looking for in this thread. There are other threads dealing with that issue.
Originally posted by ivanhoeBecause He exists on another plane of existence. In layman's terms, another dimension. This is supported all throughout the Bible when angels are engaging in "spiritual warfare" that men cannot see. It is difficult to prove without a reasonable doubt something that is invisible and untouchable. It then becomes a matter of intagibles.
