It's not Marxist to expect a functioning democracy. It's not Marxist to expect a minimum wage where you dont need 3 jobs to make ends meet. It's not Marxist to get a good education so your kids can get ahead. It's not Marxist that if you become sick, you might have to spend all you have just to stay alive. It's not Marxist for governments to break up monopolies so that consumers have a choice and prices stay reasonable.

Little feller...settle, man. I did not mean to elicit what Marxism is not, which could fill volumes, but rather meant to point out that a certain poster promotes the principle element of Marx, from each according to their abilitiy to each according to his need. So, that is the issue, not your first paragraph observations.
Minimum wage is a choice people make. Min wage is a start-up wage for high school kids while they look for good pay jobs. He escapes the govt umbrella, becomes a sef-reliant man. Thereafter he tailors his life to how much he makes. If he makes $20/hr, ($40k/yr), he should be fine, but don't have too many kids. If you do, should the govt be involved with that? Of course not.
As to education, education is where you find it, how you plan for it. Studies show that college is no big deal, one can earn a good life without it. Do you think the government should provide free college. Wouldn't work, man.
There already are many programs, starting wiht the ER, where being sick can be dealt with, starting with having the right health insurance. I assume you do? If you don't, is it the job of the govt? It is not in the constitution. Grow up, rely on yourself. It will make you feel good.
Govt is breaking up monopolies every day. TODAY they are mulling over allowing Netflix to take over all streaming. Will prob put theaters out of business. Don't get you about monopolies. I agree!!
