The video discusses how poor people often have more costs than everyone else. For example, banks charge if your account balance is under a certain amount, resulting in fees just for not having enough money.
Poor people tend to live in sub-standard houses that require more money being put into maintaining it. If such houses aren't properly insulated the costs of keeping warm during winder is higher.
A poor person who can only afford a junk car in order to travel to work will actually end up spending much more money to just keep the car running than someone who can afford a decent car outright.
Junk food like ramen noodles are much more expensive than healthier options; this in turns causes more health problems that rack-up medical bills.
There are many more examples to consider but the point is that poverty is a kind of negative feedback loop that continually makes life worse. This is something that needs to be considered before condescendingly telling a poor person to pull himself up by his bootstraps.

After having relinquished all my freedoms to our benevolent dictators who hate people like me, I now also relinquish my right to say anything that objects to whatever policy they enact. As long as somewhere, someone calling himself a Republican is doing something bad, I understand my standing will not allow me have a valid voice.
How very bourgeoisie of me not to fix the morality of 10.5 million other people who live within the same arbitrary border as me before I dare utter any words of discontentment in regards to broader topics.
I am humbled by your acumen and implore you to remember my humility when your dream of benevolent government is able to relieve us from all hardship, be it from injustice, hard luck or our own folly. I think, as does Techouse, that you are suggesting something. What are you suggesting? That the moneyed people pay $1 for a loaf of bread, but the down-and-out pay 5cents? If so, would that extrapolate to a Mercedes?

@endlame saidI do, thankyou very much. Work hard, for money. Last month, One of our members was touting 4 day weeks and something like 2-month holidays or some such. How great that is. Customarily, that would equate to a satisfactory salary for a certain lifestyle in his country, while I like to work longer and harder, in the USA. IF one wants to work only just a little bit, that is alright with me.
The only people advocating for the poor are people who can make money from it or unsuccessful people who envy the successful.
I was blessed with a Chess addiction and it's the only thing that makes me happy.... Cooking also.

No, the robots will be owned by capitalists. So will the homes. If you don't want to be a homeless criminal (loitering is illegal) you will need to find a way to pay rent to the capitalists...who don't owe you a job.
