@wildgrass
I think it is because the repub mindset is one one thing mainly, to attempt to destroy the democratic party so they can be the only ones in power so the thrust of legislation from state levels are to screw up voting so much by gerrymandering they win at the state level, sending goons to intimidate voters in voting lines and the like.
So the fed version of repubs focus on trying to impeach Biden BECAUSE Their god king Trump is in deep doo doo legally speaking and he may even lose his business license to do business in New York because of his obvious multi decade frauds going on like the two already decided, Trump so called University and Trump so called Charity, both proven frauds and resulted in a 25 MILLION dollar settlement and the defamation case already charging Trump with 5 million and maybe double that because he is so incompetent he cannot control his voice. But repubs think he is the greatest POTUS since the founding of the US not caring he is an incompetent boob more interested in destroying enemies than actual governing and it will be a disaster for the US AND the world if he gets in again.

You mean like the border and immigration laws that Biden is ignoring?
I will answer for Sonhouse, he will not answer. Yes,, and No, but Maybe,, and Trump.

@wildgrass said
I know your talking bobble head on the boob tube is telling you Biden is antichrist but Congress has nearly unlimited authority to set immigration policy. They choose not to.
Wrong.

This is your best example of an accomplishment? It will never pass. Republicans are incompetent. Here is current status:
This bill is in the first stage of the legislative process. It was introduced into Congress on January 9, 2023. It will typically be considered by committee next before it is possibly sent on to the House or Senate as a whole.
May I remind you of tremendous Trump accomplishment , Abraham Accords? Oh, y'all forgot about that, you guys.

Congress is run by Republicans. They could and should pass the bill that Joe mentioned. They haven't even discussed it.

No they don't. It hasn't even been discussed in committee.

Also, do you want the bill passed or do you just want to continue blaming others for failing to pass anything? Republicans are the majority, they can't do anything. Dems are capable of actually doing stuff.

the majority of bills require a two thirds vote...so you can stop with the repubs being the majority...this is weak on your part, it depends on ignorance to have any merit

In the real world, people running for office often don't reveal all of their real beliefs or preferences. They are skilled enough to tailor their message for both their voting base and their funding sources. That is true of Republicans and Democrats.

I have no specific allegations against any specific person, Democrat or Republican, but it is a certainty that not all Republicans in congress have actual political preferences aligned with their voting base. For example, maybe they're pro-abortion, but have to say they're anti-abortion because of the make up of their district.

What conclusion or plan of action does that entail for Republican voters? I'm not sure about that. But one thing I am absolutely sure of is that it does NOT mean we should vote Democrat.

You only asked for the bills by repubs. I answered.
Libs never answer.

I cannot IMAGINE voting for the future of this country by basing my reasoning on the abortion issue. Or Climate for that matter. Did you hear Biden say last month that the climate is our Number One issue. Uhhhhhhh,, China? i was gonna vote for that pitiful old man till he said that.
The raging of libs over abortion and climate, like it is the end of the world, is a great example of the diff in wimpy libs and strong republicans.

Right. They could keep complaining or they could go out and get 2/3.

It doesn't depend on ignorance at all. It depends whether your the type of person who wants to accomplish things or complain about things.

The republican party is mostly complainers.

Applying the same principle, who knows what Biden really believes about Climate or Abortion? I can't read his mind and I know politicians (including Republicans for those reading this) lie about their opinions to advance their careers.

But, I agree very much with your sentiment. If anyone is saying that Climate is our number 1 issue, they are not going to be able to lead our country well. And by abortion, I presume you mean ensuring that Abortion is legal in all 50 states. If anyone thinks (or has been pressured to say they think) that's in the top 2 biggest issues we are contending with, they cannot possible run our country well.

Introduce a border security bill and then let it sit there 11 months without even a discussion? It's an example of their failures and their lack of interest in fixing the border.

They could easily, easily call a vote and watch the dims squirm as they try to explain why they're voting against it. Or they could easily, easily try to get more support for it. But they don't.

Lazy or dumb?

As to abortion, like sue has said, what do We know!!?!?? Whatever. Suzy can carry whatever signs she wants to, but why bother, they will win in the end. These libs will figure a way to make use of the aborted fetuses, esp in a world of need that is sure to come.
As to whether it becomes all wide open in our life times, which I guess it will, I only hope that people who are not in the abortion world, like me, don't have to pay for it with our taxes, or pay for their recreational sex with our taxes for contraceptives. Truly....think about it,,,,,what do we have to do with what those people are doing? I'm thru debating about abortion, it makes me a bit sad to tell you the truth. Like so much garbage, just throw in a trash can...oh wait, a proper medical waste trashcan.
