You said he wouldn't win in 2016.
You say he won't win in November.
Will you admit defeat when he wins?...again?
If I create a thread in November after Trump wins again will you post and say you lost?
Most of you are white but think its virtuous and self righteous to go against whites because it makes you feel good 🤗 sonhouse and jimm619 🤗
Will you "presumably gay anti white" haters admit defeat after a second win by Trump?
(FYI...destroying cities guaranteed Trumps reelection)
@chesstachio saidI'm about ready to admit defeat now. It's probably bad news no matter who wins in November.

Trump is completely unfit for the office.
However, if Biden and the Dems win, I believe they will kowtow to and further embolden the anti-American ideological purity police who are trying to snuff out dissent, debate, and nuance from any discussion, and who have already bullied people into getting fired or resigning just for expressing the wrong opinion, or for allowing the wrong opinion to be expressed by someone else.
We shouldn't allow "cancel culture" to keep flourishing in America or we'll end up with a reboot of McCarthyism, except we will be hunting and rooting out independent thinkers rather than Communists.
Also, in the spirit of never negotiating with terrorists, we should stop appeasing the rioters and looters. They are running a protection racket.
@Chesstachio (FYI...destroying cities guaranteed Trumps reelection)
It could amount to a strong resistance but Trump has to play his cards right.
Instead of threatening to invade Seattle, he should let Seattle implode from violence and let Minneapolis do likewise from lack of police force (being defunded), and *then* he can point to those cities and all the other democrat led cities that are plagued with violence and ask the people of America if this is what they want.
You want Chicago, New York, LA, Minneapolis, Seattle all over America?
Let's see how Trump handles it. Right now, the election is along way away so no predictions from me.
@chesstachio saidIt's hard to not to agree. Out of everyone Dems could've chosen for a leader, they pick the worst one, apart from Bloomberg. Democrats didn't learn from their last mistake of picking Hillary over Sanders.
Trump will win again.
The biggest enemy of the left is the left.
I'm not sure who'll win; either way, it's a loss for the country. If Dems lose in November, they've brought this on themselves. All they needed to beat Trump was a semi-competent person with no history of being a creep. But alas.
Fck this country.
@earl-of-trumps saidSo far, the last few weeks have seen a significant increase in those who agree with Black Lives Matter and a significant drop in the Donald's approval ratings:

"Over the last two weeks, support for Black Lives Matter increased by nearly as much as it had over the previous two years, according to data from Civiqs, an online survey research firm. By a 28-point margin, Civiqs finds that a majority of Americans support the movement, up from a 17-point margin before the most recent wave of protests began."
" The poll found that 57% of voters thought the anger behind the demonstrations was fully justified, while a further 21% called it somewhat justified. Polls show that a majority of Americans believe that police are more likely to use deadly force against African Americans and that there’s a lot of discrimination against black Americans in society. Back in 2013, when Black Lives Matter began, a majority of voters disagreed with all of these statements."

"For the last three weeks, President Trump’s approval rating has steadily ticked downward. It now sits at 41.1 percent,1 according to FiveThirtyEight’s presidential approval tracker.
This is notable, because it’s the lowest Trump’s approval rating has been since the House of Representatives was in the midst of conducting its impeachment inquiry in November 2019."

As to your ideas that Trump continuing his "law and order" spiel will be a political winner:
"On Trump's handling of Floyd's death and the ensuing protests:
Emerson College – Approve 36%, disapprove 47% and 17% neutral/no opinion
Reuters/Ipsos – Approve 33%, disapprove 55%
On Trump's handling of race relations in general:
CBS News – Approve 33%, disapprove 58%
Faith in Trump's ability to handle race relations:
Monmouth University – Some or a great deal, 40%. Not much or none at all, 60%"

I know right wingers won't believe it, but the plain fact is that most Americans don't share your opinion on this (or almost any issue actually).
@chesstachio saidI am so over the cries of racism and so are lots of others.
Trump will win again.
The biggest enemy of the left is the left.
This is why I feel trump will not win so much as the dems will yet again lose. I mean who in there right mind would vote for trump.

I agree with it.
@shavixmir saidThat will happen with or without Trump.
We on the left want trump to win.
Not just for giggles, but he’s hastening the end of the monster which is American financial imperialism.
@chesstachio saidI don’t know who will win in November.
That will happen with or without Trump.
What I do know is that there has been increasing belligerence amongst the Trump supporters. More anger in their posts.
More desperation in their postings. And more name calling, although there is enough of that from both sides.
But my thoughts (knowing there are better experts than me out there) .....and my thoughts are random.
- Trump’s base is secure. He has his 30-40% who won’t care if he shoots someone on 5th ave.
- there is a long ways to go to November but lots can happen.
- the racial problems may continue on, or they may dissipate, but they will be a factor in November.
- the pandemic will continue to be the elephant in the room. Right now it looks like it will bite the president in the ass. The curve has flattened. Unfortunately at 1000 deaths per day, not 200.
- America will not become a Socialist country if Biden wins in November, and certainly not a Communist country (there are quite a few people in this forum that don’t know the difference)
- there will be the continuous debate between the ideologies of free market capitalism vs Socialism. I like to call it the battle between the 2 equalities - equality of opportunity vs equality of outcome.
- the big elephant in the room should be the threat to the democracy. The current president certainly has leanings towards authoritarianism. There is no doubt of that.
- I worry that some forces will pull the Democrats to the left. This may be in part to my own personal leanings (I’m not a believer in socialism in its extremes, but rather a free market that doesn’t venture into “cowboy capitalism” ). But more in the fact that pulling the Democrats too far to the left will hand the keys to the White House to Trump.
- in terms of personalities, I reject the positions of those that try to downgrade this as an issue. In that regard, Biden would be far superior as a calming influence. The respect towards America in the global arena would increase immensely. The prestige of the office of the president, the most powerful job in the world has been degraded immensely under the current occupant. There are those who offer their delusion that the world respects America since Trump came to office. Nonsense !! I will only offer the analogy of a 6 year old boy walking into a room full of people waving a gun. People will duck and fall to the floor.
- I worry about the irregularities that will occur in the election, specifically on voting tabulation and the process itself. Florida 2000 (Bush vs Gore) will be nothing compared to what I fear will happen this year. Trump has already gone on record as declaring that “America will never, never ever become a Socialist country”. My question ? What happens if he loses ?
- further to the above is the question. What will happen if Trump loses ? Will he step down ? He was already squawking about rigged elections in 2016. He will be worse this time.
- and finally, while much of the debate has been about the economic makeup of your country going forward, I say that the real battle is for the social makeup of the country. America has been in a “cold civil war” for a while. Conservative America or Liberal America ?? That’s the real battle ground. We all know that America will remain capitalist under Biden. The threat of Socialism is not the issue. There are many forces out in the right wings of society. The 2 main ones I see are White Nationalism and Christian Nationalism. They see Trump as the bulldozer they having been waiting for all along. And they are probably the ones at the controls. They have no use for him as a person, but he is their bulldozer. He is their “useful idiot”.
One final question for the Trump supporters.
If Trump does lose the vote, and he refuses to give up power, will you support him ?
That’s your choice. Trump ? Or democracy ?
Specifically, to the religious right and the evangelicals...
You are soooo close to overturning Roe v Wade and repealing same sex marriage....
Trump or democracy ????
I’ll stop now. It’s too easy to go on forever.
Remember. Practice social distancing.
And wash your hands.
If you wash your hands of Trump, even better.
Have a nice day. 🙂
@kazetnagorra saidIf the election is close, things will get ugly.
At best, Trump will narrowly lose the election, which will be another massive embarrassment for the American people.
As I said, Florida Bush-Gore will be nothing compared to 2020.
