@moonbus Did you see where the diaper king wants to name a bridge over the Mississippi River after himself. Carly Simon sang it best "your so vane".

If you were alive in the 90s, you might remember that we spent 5 YEARS and millions of dollars investigating the Clinton's for a shady real estate deal.

That seems absolutely insane given what's happening now. Substantial insider trading is running into the billions of dollars, literally 5 minutes before a Trump tweet.

The 800-pound gorilla in the room is how Trump has fulfilled his own comments from the past about how government is corrupt and how everything they do turns to crap.

He's appointed to his Cabinet people totally ill-equipped for their positions. Inept in every way. He is determined to bring to real life his assertions that the Federal government sucks and is corrupt. He ...[text shortened]... so that he looks better than them in comparison. It's not MAGA, it's MACA, Make America Crap Again.
All of trump's 100 accomplishments have turned to crap.

Tell us what the stock market 12000 years ago looked like.

Was there an opening bell or did they use two rocks?

They were already crap.

That's why normal people don't call them 'accomplishments'.

There was no ‘market’ as you know it today, but people in Neanderthals I guess traded commodities back-and-forth, which is where the concept of marketing began. it evolved into the tented stalls you see in various venues where people buy low, and then go to the next stall and sell it high.
there are only about 3000 stocks at the New York Stock Exchange although the total of securities in the overall market is somewhere around 8500. Some people do not invest in the market at all, it is a voluntary matter. The lucky/smart ones buy something for $100 and sell it three months later for $200. This can be done, however, about anyone without using the stock market. You could buy an old house, fix it up and sell it. You could buy an old car fix it up and sell it. Same concept.

It was always a rigged game. Even the stock market was and still is rigged.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Working_Group_on_Financial_Markets

And you have short selling too. Start a war after you short the stock market. Then you lie to convince people there is a peace deal in the works that is not at all and he drives up the stock market. It is all rigged to help the elites get wealthier while the poor struggle to survive and that makes them richer as well.

Trump's cease fire is an attempt to buy time for Saudi oil to go through the red sea instead of the straits. Now the Houthies will stop that unless they go through the Suez canal making exiting the red sea with oil more expensive. This is an ongoing game.

My argument is that this is fundamentally different now. We used to investigate these crimes. People would have gone to prison for this in the 90s.

Blatant and obvious insider trading and the DOJ is completely silent. The SEC is completely silent. The enforcement efforts for this type of crime has fallen off a cliff.

Everybody knows politicians engage in insider trading. And they are just puppets of the elites so you know the elites are doing it. Start a war, short the stock market and buy petroleum commodities. They profit from our misery.

And all of us get screwed. Short selling should be illegal. It is fundamentally wrong to profit from disaster. Short selling promotes war. People can profit from war in several ways. Buy stocks in military contractors.

People are not complaining enough over $4 gas prices. So I guess they have to go above $5 for Iran to get results. So that is what will happen.
