wolves howl and growl and are mean and nasty
there are barely more than 100,000 wolves remaining, yet there are 1,059,810,132 sheep .... the battle has already been won by the sheep!

They'd kill the shepherd, take the rifle, shoot the sheep for fun, capture the wolves and train them to be fighting dogs probably. Then the police would put them in jail where they can level up from unskilled trash to trained thug.
Their kids will always wonder who Mommy's Babydaddy was...who their Daddy is...and will grow up with a tougher life because trash don't respect family and community. This idea will be drilled into their heads until they become trash themselves. Only then is reproduction complete.
How would a pack of bees do against a pack of killer whales?!
