This is the gayest World Cup ever (and no one’s batting an eyelid)
...
There are about 100 openly LGBTQ+ players and coaches across the tournament’s expanded 32 teams, according to counts by LGBTQ+ publications. One of those, Autostraddle, noted that the tournament “just might be the most openly queer sporting event in history.”
... And
At the most recent men’s World Cup, in Qatar last year, there were no openly gay players. But in the women’s game, openly queer players have become an integral part of the sport.

Here are my feelings on the matter...
We already knew that there were many more visible gays in women's sports than in the men's sports.
And, the gay women were often amongst the best athletes in their given sport, as well. (Martina Navratilova,
Megan Rapinoe, Annika Sörenstam etc) Whereas the gay males in sports are amongst the unheralded.

Here is my opinion:
A gay woman often has more male traits than the average woman, and that emphasizes athletic ability
and competitiveness, whereas the feminist traits in gay male athletes tends to hinder athletic ability
and competitiveness.

That's my theory, and I'm sticking to it. πŸ™‚

Annika Sörenstam? Did I read you correctly? Do you know something I don't? πŸ™‚

Of course, that goes without saying. Feminine traits that make you less physical [ie less testosterone], are not good for sports. That is why a man will pretend to be a woman [trans], and participate in womens sports. A woman will not bother to pretend to be a man [trans] and then engage in mens sports, as she will get clobbered. Its all about the testosterone.

It's testosterone, yes. But it is also about "attitude" or personality.
Of course, you could argue that attitude/personality are formed, in large part, by testosterone.

Society is just more accepting of gay women than gay men. If two female friends start kissing in a bar that's going on Instagram and getting 400 likes.

Also, women's sports generally gets less attention than male sports. The Women's World Cup is very popular but not as much as the men's.

Yeah a nice theory for a five year old
Could it be that lesbians are much less likely to conform to the physically hapless straight jacket that the patriarchal socialisation process is designed to cram them into.
Unless you’ve got a link to a study showing significantly higher testosterone levels amongst lesbians they are just everyday women who are attracted to other everyday women.
My theory is that lesbians have a higher tendency to cast aside their socially designated subservience and follow their own natural innate instincts regarding sports and competition.
We should remember that women of today are the descendants of the women who were the most competitive in gathering enough food to keep their offspring alive into their own adulthood / breeding phase

Any sport where the players shower together afterwards is gay.

That’s my opinion and I’m sticking to it.

This is literally all pro sports. And many amatuer sports. Most gyms, in America anyways, have communal showers.

Are you one of these nerds in high school who said, "All sports are gay"? Not trying to dis nerds, in school I was kind of a science nerd and definitely a music nerd.

There might be something of a link between fitness and 'gayness', but it's uncertain. Haven't really thought about it that much. I wouldn't make a connection between limiting factors like this. Fitness and 'gayness' both are widespread across all types of women.

Note I'm not suggesting you're doing this. These are more my thoughts after reading your post.
