But that's neither here nor there. Soon, very soon, one or more of these sons of bitches are going to get what's been coming to them.[/b]
LOL! And that from an employee of the DoD.

Del, I've been pretty clear on this all along - support for the troopers is entirely different from support from political leaders who I feel have betrayed us.
Lighten up, SQ, nobody mentioned the troops. Who's the head of the DoD?

Yeah but what happened at Abu Ghraib was abominable. I'm a veteran of the Marine Corps and the Army. I did not join the military to torture people. I did not join the military to fight for a government that tortured people, or to fight for a people that approve of torture. Torture is wrong on many levels, including the pragmatic one - it's a lousy ...[text shortened]... le that Cheney too will be indicted. I don't think it's likely. But the heat's coming down.
One of the worst things about Abu Graib is the fact that it will be seen in the wider world as the way all prisoners were treated. A position which I do not believe at all, but "Prisoners treated humanely" doesn't grab one front page never mind 50.

I think it is true that Bush wanted Saddam to have WMD program. Or at least to be proven to on the brink of having a WMD program. Bush had wider goals than destroying WMD but he needed a smoking gun. When you want something that badly and you ask people (CIA MI5) to find evidence to support your aims it is natural to be less than objective when reviewing that evidence.

OK, Del, sorry - I'm just very pissed off right now, what with Philadelphia's city wage tax, which goes to companies that get rewarded for large political donations, with my own property taxes, that just got spent bringing a man I respect very much (Tommy Franks) to speak in my county, with promising lifetime health benefits to people who have worked ...[text shortened]... ople? To mail out campaign flyers?

GGGGRRRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!
Hi SQ, I live a bit north of you and our taxes our driving us out,
maybe literally. We have a 1% city tax, state income tax, county
home tax, city 'per capita' tax, County school tax, federal income
tax. Then our town, Slatington, charges over 150 $ per month
just for water, sewer, and garbage. I will be going on fixed income
soon and the only way I can live like that is to move to Brazil where
my daughter lives. We have lived here for almost 25 years and
it looks like we will lose our house within a year. Nice huh.
BTW, the repubs have a habit of protecting their own. I would
be very suprised if Cheney or Bush gets involved.
