Let's say I write 100 checks without approval from the board of directors, $10,000 each, from a corporate account and distribute them to random people.
Would that be a crime?
Hold on. Before you answer. I should add that each of the 100 checks are written to a person making less than $75,000 per year.
Wait! There is more!!! Also, the board of directors has approved payments for services to a few wealthy people of over $100,000.
Is this a crime if we consider all of the specifics?

@shallow-blue saidHmm. Are there any leftist here who are astute enough to recognize a possible application of this thought experiment to current events?
What are you on about?
Remember, we can't call judgement on what your wife did to your family business bank account. That's your personal matter.
Shallow Blue is oblivious.
@techsouth saidNowhere near what happened on Jan 6th.

Trying to start a debate on something that hasn't happened is a waste of time.
Focus on some real life issues !!

You're all good at cutting and pasting talking points and repeating slogans though. So at least take pride in that. Thinking about issues aside from mindlessly repeating the crude talking points isn't for everybody.
BTW: this has nothing to do with Jan6th.
Sorry I wasted your time and forced you to write something here.

@techsouth saidThankyou ShallowBlue MG and Thousand for proving what I have moaned about for years. You insult, for lack of a better word, posters of perfectly well-intended threads. It borders on.. , it is,.. Silly. Why not consider the question and throw out an opinion for us to kick around? Why not? Why meanness and smartalecness??
Would that be a crime?
Why? And you are all getting so personal,, like Sonhouse. A perfectly good issue, I like it. Cannot comment on the hypo.at the moment, but I am disheartened by your rude ass responses.
@AverageJoe1
TWO thumbs down on the OP?. Why? I'm beginning to wonder what you people look like.

The premise of this thread is just stupid.
Not many people wish to debate a hypothetical situation with people who think that a day like Jan 6 is a tourist day gone wrong.

@mghrn55 saidYou are right that I don’t care about an inquest such as this. Let me know when the Dems (the prosecution,) rests, and then, after a 1 hr recess, the Repubs ( Defendants) present their side. I may tune in.
To be frankly honest.

You suggest that we are disinterested, but no more than you fellers are about inflation, fentanyl, Biden’s Border Crisis, oil, and many many more serious matters.
I wonder why the Court of Appeals told Biden that he cannot give all this money to these losers to repay their debts. Do you think maybe he did not have the right to? So make it interesting and tell us why he had a right, with a stroke of a pen, to spend taxpayer money like that.
You fellrs are so funny, when you push for this debt forgiveness, when the law clearly says, only Congress can handle spending money. Do you think you are right? , You think the courts are wrong? Wonder what Sonhouse’s position is!!! Hahaha

@mghrn55 saidSo tell us about America Gone Wrong. Need I list the hell brought on by creepy stupid bumbling Biden?
people who think that a day like Jan 6 is a tourist day gone wrong.
You know, people who might live hand-to-mouth, and be content with that, pay no taxes, receiving little income, except for a check from the government, might not give a crap about the hell that our country is in because they are really not affected. They wish bad times on everyone else. Could be. Misery loves company..
