Originally posted by Sicilian Smaugps3 will not be released IN ENGLAND til March 2007 though Sony have made 400,000 consoles they are only gonna release it in U.S.A and JApan at (if i can remember) 13th November then in March 2007 the Ps3 will be released in all of Europe and they hope possibly that it'll be worldwide by June 2007.
The PS2, but I think the X Box 2 has already won the battle against the PS3 before that battle has even begun, Sony have been too arrogant/ lazy/ shortsighted and failed to realise that by making the machine so late, and with very little in the way of tempting games, people will just go over to the Microsoft machine. The Sony name alone will not sell their machine.
So to answer the question PS2 beats X-Box and XBox 360 beats PS3 just cos Sony are totally rubbish at making the "next" generation console.

the ps2 came out about 10 years after the ps1, and the ps3 has only waited 5 ish.. so the time bewteen is being halved.. so by my calculations the ps10 will be with us in no time and we all you pervs can have you realistic sex games and the like within the next decade

the question should be.... shall i wait until march 2007 for the PS3 OR get the x-box 360 now?
here's the over-view:
X360: £200 for console and two non-wireless controllers and a internet connection.
Games: the cheapest i have seen was Over The Hedge for £35. others are around £50
Any other info: Wireless contollers cost £30 whilst normal ones are £20. Plus memory cards are up to a late £35 for the highest (can't remember)
PS3: £400 for the console and one non-wireless contoller but comes with a game of your choice.
Games: same as X360 however all games will be around £40-£50
Any other info: check with your T-V if it can take blue ray dvds if it can't this will totally screw your console up....... plus pnly 400,000 consoles will be made 75,000 for the U.K, 200,000 for U.S.A and 125,000 for JApan hopefully Sony say by July 2007 there will be over 1 million consoles worldwide so you misght aswell stay put for then.

I am sure you can get the wireless controls and game bundels for £300 or so
Sony Play Station forever, mates!
😉
I am currently in love with the PSP. Loads of fun, great graphs,
quality and class. Great games and nothing to ask other portables.
Then again, I know comparing portables is a huge different thing,
but when you fall for a brand for one amazing product, you cannot
help it being biased.
Sony kicks butt! wohooooo
[those were my 2 minutes of teenage mutant 30 something] 🙁

disadvantage of the screen, yet it is the biggest one of all the
current portables and the best graphics for such a small
thing.
I was a little bit worried about how it would play with sports games,
for the movement, but the loading is short and there are no
satgnations. Amazing really!
I have played NBA Live 06 and Madden NFL 2006, as well as
football, of course, and I am surprised about how smooth the
graphs go, really.
Well, there is my opinion about quality: The best for portables, yet
it will never be like playing a normal console in a 24 inches plasma
TV, right? You must take into account how comfortable is to play
while traveling, laying on the grass at the park, etc.
