@KellyJay saidThat you cannot EVER even CONTEMPLATE that YOU might be wrong. You judge everyone who is not Christian. You take a man made religion like Christianity and use the edicts inside the bible to assure yourself you are MUCH higher on the spiritual totem pole.
Hmm, you think I’m being judgmental, and that is wrong? By what standard do you think I’m answerable to, along with you, that allows you to say I’m wrong?
So tell me, a true believer like you, how many times has your Lord Jesus come to you shook your hand?
@sonhouse saidHow can I be wrong if there isn’t one standard we are all under?

@Ghost-of-a-Duke saidClearly, I did, which is why I still have a complaint with how you view things. You cannot say there isn't "A" standard we are all under and call someone wrong who isn’t doing things the way you do.
Clearly you didn't listen to the previous 34 answers I gave you.
@KellyJay saidMy moral compass isn't dependent on the particular flavour of God you have personally chosen, or deficient as a consequence. Deal with it.

Your A standard might be God, mine is set by life experiences and shared morality/cooperation that enabled us to thrive as an evolving species, enabling you in turn to invent a deity to tell you how to behave.
@Ghost-of-a-Duke saidWhich is to say your moral standard reaches no farther than your nose; mine would do the same if I were no different from you, which you claim is true. This means I don’t live by your standard, so saying I’m wrong is meaningless to me, and my saying you’re wrong is meaningless to you.

The other element in this is God, not my God, but God as His own self, not as I see Him and claim Him to be. Unlike you and me, He does hold a view of righteousness that is not dependent on anyone else, and we are all bound to it as He is the creator and sustainer of all things.
@KellyJay saidHumans, even atheists, tend to have shared moral standards, on the really big stuff. (Murder is wrong etc). Aren't you human? - If your God didn't tell you murder was wrong would you really go around killing people?

Have a think about that.
@KellyJay saidPeople in most parts of the far east eat dogs, cats, rats, frogs and other animals we consider to be disgusting to eat. Even if they migrate here to the west to live, I am pretty sure they continue eating whatever they are accustomed to. We have Chinese and other far east people here and they told us they do this.
Philippines they ate it when I was there, other nations do to. Some places simply eat what they can, some don’t eat pork, or mix dairy with meat.
@sonhouse saidThe highest on the spiritual totem pole preaches love and charity to all people whether or not they agree with your religious views. The lowest preach hatred and death to those who are unbelievers.

If you cannot judge these things then you are a lost soul.
@Ghost-of-a-Duke saidYes, we share values with some variations —why is that? You believe we came to them over time through our evolving understanding of something that we accept as good for us; I believe they were given to us right off the bat from God, who created us.

So, do either of those mean we are all under a single standard of right and wrong, however perverted, or do they mean we are really not, since those who do not share the consensus are no different from those who do?
@Rajk999 saidThat might even mean something if we actually had this soul thing.
