I appreciate your comments, however I beg to differ, when one pays not only fuel tax, but council tax, on top of vat, income tax,ni contributions, domestic fuel taxes etc etc. If we have such a 'fair' system (ok if you are on 30k+) why then do more people leave the UK than come in ? and why are we not overwhelmed with Australians,Canadians,Americans,New Zealanders who wish to take advantage of our illustrious and fair system !

PS Yes, regardless of what people may say, the criteria for becoming a British National is quite strict. People from these other richer nations cannot pull the trump card of persecution by their governments etc, whrereas nationals from many third world countries can use this reason, be it truthful or not.
