28 Days Later is a pile of turd.

I didn't get the ending, did the guy die or what? And was he shot or something?

Wickerman is good but it's not very good when you compare it to Exorcist

Very good, assuming you're not talking about the latest version, but I still think we're waiting for the definitive remake: the Rob Lowe version got the people right but not the vampires or the sense of horror; the Tobe Hooper cuts got the people wrong and took a weird route with Straker and Barlow but redeemed itself with a sense of visceral horror. Personally I won't be happy until they cast Richard O'Brien as Straker and remake it as a 70s period piece.

I'd also applaud Evil Dead I and II, but are any of the ED films really horror films after I? If Bruce Campbell (stupendous talent as the man is) is a horror actor, so is Leslie Nielsen.

Are you all mad? Why has nobody pointed out that The Shining isn't in there?

10. Birds - Maybe
9. Jaws - Not a horror film
8. Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974) - Yes
7. Alien - Yes
6. Sixth Sense - Not a horror film
5. SAW - Puhlease....
4. The Others - Not a horror film
3. 28 days Later - What? Come on, this shouldn't be in the top 100
2. The Thing - Top 10? No
1. The Exorcist - One of th emost overrated films ever made.

What about:

A Nightmare on Elm Street
Shining
Seven
Silence of the Lambs

Edit: Just saw that Starrman mentioned "Shining". A great movie that should be on the list.
