I just had to mention it, because it is guaranteed that I will only be in
this club for a day or so, then my rating will go back to being a little
more representative of my actual ability. But it feels good for the
moment. But my moral for the day is that one of the games which I
am almost certain to lose has been one of the tightest games I've
ever played, and my opponent's endgame play has been a free
lesson for me.
Every time I lose, I spend an hour or so thinking I should take up
another hobby, like knitting or something. But I've also found the
cure-- start another game.
Hope you all had a good Fourth (the Americans, anyway... for the rest,
I just hope you had a good day).
Peace.

Good effort Tim, I managed to get within 3 points of the sacred 1500
once but have slid down to my actual rating - low 1300's. hope to be
back up there one day ! One day soon.
Nice one all teh same

PS does anyone else have this 'teh' problem... I can never type the
properly. Should have paid more attention in classes.
Good job Tim! If you drop just a bit...you will get right back up...then
you can brag about getting into the 1600 club.
And as for losing...you should see what I do when someone cleans my
clock...I just ask Beck..."Why do I play this game?" and she always
says "Because you love it...and it loves you"
That always helps me remember that i am human and have my
faults...but I can always get up off the pavement and try again.

BTW...making a final push for that illustrious 1800 club
I lose alot! Chances are there won't be much time before I drop back
down to the 1300 club again! GOD! But then you have to go back and
look at those games that you have against higher rated people when
you just smack em' around and realize.......hey.......I have my good
days too. Then I let out a huge
WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! I don't know about anyone
else but that's what I do when I lose........by the way guys....check out
The Reassess your Chess Workbork........it's making me understand
making plans and weak squares alot more. Taking me to a new level
in the game. Enough of my silly rambling which I'm prone to
doing.......

when someone asks me why it's there I get to brag.....hehe)
I tried to get that once when I lost all interest in RHP because I went
away and lost some games to time outs so I quit all 60 odd games I
was playing and plummetted from about 1400 all the way down to
935 - a few people got suprisses when I finally returned to the game -
cursing what I had done only a few days later
