I can't believe I have been playing chess here for that long, but it's true.
I was the 16th person to open an account here, and my first game was the 18th game played here.

I feel old. 🙁

In fact you're even earlier than that. A significant number of members 1 to 15 were test dummies. 😏

@mwmiller does appear to be the first non "friends or test account" sign up. There is just one other that signed up earlier that I can't remember the origin of for certain.

why my brain links unconnected events i'll never know,
but it does...

twenty years ago i bought several boxsets of cd's,
the doors,
the who,
jimi hendrix
smokey robinson
the beach boys
janis joplin
and some others...
i never removed the shrinkwrap, intending to hang on these for a nebulous future which i cannot see...
who knows, they may be valuable someday...
HA!!!
or not...

do not remove the wrapping on yer "first ever" status,
who knows???
it may be valuable someday...

I know it is very addictive. I've started controlling my time I spend on the Internet. I don't bother with Facebook though.
