Well done. I look forward to reading the entries and then making the difficult decision as to which will receive my votes.

Footnote: Will the vote format be "5-3-1" as in previous Prose Competitions?

    Of course.

An RHP Personal Message allows a maximum of "2000 characters". The "2016 RHP Prose Competition" allows an "800 words Maximum" per entry. With an estimated generous average of 10 characters per word [with spacing and punctuation], 200 words would fit on a PM or four PMs to equal the "800 words Maximum". Each of the authors would have the option of sending Personal Messages with their final drafts to themselves to insure compliance.

Can you and FMF take your issues with Grampy Bobby away from this thread please unless you want to write a prose entry on it? 😀

I'll send an email to the one I have for you before I submit to make sure it's still the same.

Let's hope that what this someone whipped out in four days can be bested by us slaving away at it for the next month and a half, and if not, then we're not exactly in their class anyways. 🙂

I mean, yeah, maybe a Hemingway or a Steinbeck could beat the rest of us in four days, but I haven't noticed any Hemingways or Steinbecks posting on this site lately.
