Black Tuesday saw RedHotPawn down for a whole day :-(
----------------------------------------------------------------

The Day after....
-------------------

I'm still shaking like a leaf
But back on line - extreme relief
No Red Hot Pawn the whole day through
Must be dreaming - no it's true!

Had to find another site
But playing there just wasn't right
Kept coming back with fingers crossed
To no avail - 'connection lost'
In thirty games it was my move
My furrowed brow I could not smooth

In desperation watched TV
At least there was some sport to see
Saw Korea lose one-nil
Of Wimbledon then had my fill
Watched some Brits take early baths
At Kournikova had some laughs
But Timmy Henham made it through
Good old Greg - he did it too

And so with spirits slightly buoyed
I tried my best to fill the void
Did some jobs around the house
My fingers ached to click a mouse
Even had an early night
Cold Turkey had begun to bite

Made me think of other 'Pawners
In the chess world's far flung corners
Were they feeling just like me?
Which one of us is M-A-P?
A title that is self inflicted
A's not for Active - it's for Addicted!

That was funnier than WorldComs Accounts.

Bit of current affairs for you there. Not sure what is going on in the
states at the moment but there are some serious mispractice issues
at a corporate level at the moment.

Enron - WorldCom (Both of whose accounts were approved by
Anderson) - just watch out for Xerox, Adelphia, Tyco, Global Crossing.
You can see it coming....
