I assume he admitted it.

ya know...
when it comes to sex, a man should not be held to his word. 😉

So what happens if a man has sex with a woman, on the basis that she tells him she’s on the pill, but she isn’t?
Leading to her getting pregnant then later seeking financial support for the child?

I think there is every reason for both to make sure there will not be unwanted children - or venereal diseases.

I doubt she'd be given 4 years in jail.

I would suggest that the woman was white and the guy was given 4 years for being black. Anyway condoms aren't perfect, they can break, slip off etc...

That's true, so we have to be careful. I can't comment on the white/black issue.

Interesting case of a man, a budding physician, who tried to sue an ex partner (of 2 months) for 4 million dollars because of the emotional trauma of having fatherhood unwittingly forced upon him. He claimed her deception over her use of the pill had deprived him of the benefit of choosing when and with whom he would become a dad.

He didn’t get a cent!

It shouldn't be in the news in the first place.

Because a child was involved? The names weren’t divulged.

Maybe because its a personal matter and not news worthy, the guy probably wanted to name shame and get some publicity.

As you say, it is a personal matter.
