Since nobody on RHP knows it's my birthday today, I might as well congratulate myself. And, as the name of the thread suggests, it's a remarkable combination of numbers. I am convinced that the Cult of Maths can make something special out of this.
For some unknown reason, 40 years is considered half time around here. This issue was brought up earlier this year when my mother turned 80. What happens after full time? Well, if the game isn't decided it's sudden death of course.
As a suitable birthday gift, I suggest that everyone of my current opponents makes a move which allows mate in one or, if that's impossble, at least gives up their most valuable piece immediately.

Thank you guys, it's been a great day. The whiskey supply has increased dramatically and among other things I've got some good SF literature, which I'm fond of, to read on the subway on the way to work. I'm pretty drunk right now so I guess I'll just leave it until tomorrow. See you when the second half begins.
