The Tigers fell two short of the 14 runs I promised, but it was still enough. Even in Fenway. That was the biggest comeback of the year for the Tigers. A Dmitri Young grand slam and some fine relief pitching helped sink the Red Sox Nation. We're going for two out of three Sunday.

I also see the Yankees mounted a devastating comeback against the woeful Royals. Sox only up by 1.5 games now.

How about the play at the plate where Veritek didn't really have the ball. I was super excited, jumped up... and when the ball came flying out I screamed NO! and fell backwards onto the bed with my hands over my face.

My wife asked, "how many other Sox fans just did that"?

I said, "All of them, even the ones not watching the game".

Arg!!!!

Edit! I really did think you were going to get your rec number, I didn't stick around to find out... I was too heart broken!

Looks like the Tigers are going to have to rely on your bullpen to blow it again. Sox up 3-1, bottom of the second. 🙁

Bah! Two out of three in Detroit. One out of three in Boston. That's a split for the two series. I guess I won't complain.

I thought they were saying on the radio we've played 10 now... and Sox took 6? Hmmmmm... I'm making some grub, so I'll look into it later.

We may have played earlier in the year. I don't recall. I was just referring to the two most recent series.

4.86? How does a team manage to stay in first place with a 4.86 ERA?

I'm afraid we're not, sometimes! Gah, they are falling apart!

Now we have the Tampa Bay "Double A's"... bet they're gonna fight again!
