Do yourselves a favor and keep your wallets closed these
days.

Also, stop faking joy and goodwill. You know very well that
your bitterness and resentment are not magically washed
away during 1 day a year.

Last but not least, keep in mind these festivities are a
pagan ritual hijacked by business to steal your hard
earned bucks in stuff nobody needs. Show love all year
long and with deeds, not gifts.

Oh yes, and Yeshua was likely born between March and
June.

At last someone had to let it be said! But they don't care, they like the tinsel show and glittery lights!

Not sure what all these people claiming a connection between his birth and Passover are smoking.

I consider September or October far more likely.

Enjoy Christmas everybody. Keep friends and family close. Give plenty of presents, not because you have to, but because you want to. Be joyful and happy. Christmas, like times of shared crisis, brings out the best in people, not the worse.

Have a good one.

"And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.
And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid.
And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.
For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.
And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.
And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,
Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men." -- Luke 2:8-14, KJV

As Linus said to Charlie Brown, "That's what Christmas is all about."

This is the takeaway, the reason Christians celebrate Christmas, not the "tinsel show and glittery lights". These are a bastardization, brought to us in the name of over-commercialization by corporations. Christmas has become synonymous with the lure of the almighty dollar and the root of all evil, the love of money. As early now as Halloween, the ads start bombarding us with exhortations of "Buy! Buy!", even as the needs of the homeless and the destitute are ignored in the rush to acquire the latest gizmos and the newest gadgets.

This being said, every year, I love to watch The Miracle on 34th Street (1947) and It's a Wonderful Life (1946). The Christmas season is a long-cherished tradition, even as we sit appalled at the over-commercialization.

Sort of a "Holly, Jolly Desiderata". I like it. 🙂

Consider all the gifts given to us by God. Eternal life. Children. The univers.

Everyday is Christmas. 😉

I'd rather bring rainbows and happiness to yours.

(But yes, I am a heathen).

Except Ghost. G-d hates him with furious, righteous passion.

God and I have a workable understanding. I reject his existence and He saves me a seat in the back row of eternity. (I think you're in the mosh pit).

Excuse me. A day for higher thought, done on purpose, this is a good thing. You need to wallow in puke every other day, and we let you.
