you're new games page update is rubbish.

the old one was fine

+ the ability to send games automatically to the archive through all folders it wouldn't be perfect.

please revert it back.

Minority Report: Nice enhancement. The sound and fury of rigid minds (youngsters old before their time) complaining about change will pass.

Postscript: If the 'new' screen format and features had been in place all along, right up through mid-February, 2009, and the 'old' screen

format and features of record were now being introduced... the same members would be spouting near identical words in the same volume

of posts to register complaints about the unnecessary 'change'. Human emotions are fickle and craven rigidity is the flip side of the coin.

That's very true...no one likes change, but they get used to it.

I disagree, GB.

My major bitch with the new system was that it was difficult to find and move in games which were close to going into timebank. That probably wasn't apparent to people with less than a screenful of games, but I found it very annoying to hunt through pages of games to find the ones which were down to one day of time-out or less. If Russ had simply enhanced the existing inbox but left the existing functionality the same, I think it would have been fine. If the sort by time-out had actually sorted by time-out and not time-out plus time-bank (and had the usual 1d 3h 17m format), I'd have used that. What we got was a removal of key functionality with no obvious replacement.

With 192 games in progress, I have 6 pages to go through to find if my opponent has timed out, or when they last moved, was so much easier just scrolling down the page! Am I missing something, or is this the only way to do it now?

I have to say the 'old' page is better then the new. Errors with the new page were never evident in the original. Thank you Colonel 'Russ' Sanders for going back to the original recipe!

Understood, Ichy. Without a "screenful of games" that quite genuine irritation wasn't apparent. Let's hope Russ is aware of it and corrects it.
