To increase 500 points after the provisional period you would need to win at least 16 games. It would more likely require 30 as you won't get 32 points for every game.
To increase 500 points at the beginning of your RHP career you could win (or even play) as few at 5 games.
A person who loses 5 times against a 2100 player will have a rating of 1700 under the provisional system.

The manner (manor) in which you win/draw/lose do not change this formula. Therefore starting your first 5 games against a 2100 player and then being timed out in all of them will give you a rating of p1700.
