Thank you for the comments; yes I was black, sorry!
It was an aggressive initial 7 or 8 moves by white and quite bloody immediately thereafter with me/black being 2 pieces down mid-game and still a piece down as we went into the endgame. I was happy with my tactical dancing to erode the material differcial and eventually grind black into submission.
A game which for me sums up why I like the game, and not just because I won, but certainly that is part of it.

@mercury saidYour opponent moved his king about 4 times in the opening where he should have been developing his pieces. I think his queen was out by move 3.! Still making it a long drawn out affair, a win is a win! 🙂 Looks like one of my mistake riddled games. 😉

oh, the players made errors, for sure. but a game that has lots of back and forth attacks is fun.

Even a beginner knows you don't take you queen out on the 3rd move, then make 3 more moves with it right in the opening, no development of pieces going on. As a higher rated player you know this.
I once resigned a won game in a Clan Challenge thinking I was the other color moving to fast and not paying close enough attention. Of course my rating isn't great either. Luckily I had won the other game and we did win that particular challenge it was still embarrassing for me and I don't embarrass easily as you are aware. 😉
